The seasons changed and now it's kinda cool outside. So no more driving in my car heading toward a summer sunset with the windows rolled down, wind in my hair while blasting K+D+B. I'd like to make a fresh mix/playlist of Chemical tunes - I'm thinking songs that have more of a winter vibe, or winter weather feel...
I know it seems goofy but I'm interested in what Chemical Songs you guys think would accompany the winter months - which Chems tunes do you think would complement each other in a neatly packaged little wintry mix/playlist?
(Snow is a no-brainer, haha)
Any takers?

Hmmm interesting input. Thank you!! Midnight Madness, I forgot about that one. There's a 2009/2010 New Year's Eve version of it that would go well in a mix. The State We're In is nice too.
It's funny how some songs seem wintery to some, but when I hear them I think of summer or warmer months. There are so many Chems songs that remind me of the warmer months so it's hard for me to think of ones that feel more like winter. Like, Marvo Ging. when I listen to it I hear a warm summer night out in the country. Otter Rock to me is like a lazy day in the sun. Das Spiegal feels like a springtime afternoon. I don't know if it's just personal experience like graysquire mentioned that shapes these feelings and images and sets them to song, or what. I just find it interesting how songs make us think of different things.

There are two songs that turn my mental cinema on when thinking of winter wheather and a snowy landscape right now. For me it would have to be Another World and Harpoons off their latest releases.
Harpoons creates some nice pictures in my mind, like I was opening the windows of my flat either on dusk or dawn with all those snow flakes fluttering down and some lanps' light is shimmering through. Then you're taking a deep breath and feeling all the fresh dry air running through your entire body.
Another world on the other hand has this nice warm and fuzzy synthesizer melody in the first part of the song right after the vocals fade out. It would be perfect to start a snowy day when you have some time off from work or whatever, and you're maybe about to head off for some skiing or snow tubing with some friends.
Oh I love winter for these reasons.

I love energetic music when its cold, especially whilst in a car.
Morning Lemon (i love starting any set with this song, it's just a perfect set-starter)
Where Do i Begin (suits almost every situation)
Lost in the K-Hole
Piku
Swoon
If you Kling to me, ill Klong to you (my favourite Chemical track)
Out of Control (Sasha Club remix)
Orange Wedge
Block Rocking Beats (any live version)
Otter Rock (terribly underrated song, imho)
Studio K
My Mercury Mouth (one of my favourites)
Another World (to make you all warm and fuzzy before the epic finish)
and the perfect set finisher: The Private Psychedelic Reel

Okay, here is my take for winter mix:
Snow
Playground for a Wedgeless Firm
Silver Drizzle
Falling Down (Chemical Brothers remix)
Morning Lemon
My Elastic Eye
Where Do I Begin
HIA
Hold Tight London
Piku
The Pills Won't Help You Now (Instrumental)
If You Kling to me I'll Klong to You
My Mercury Mouth
I Think I'm In Love (The Chemical Brothers remix)
Total time: 1:17:13
Well that turned out weird! But I got almost perfect CD length. Nice!

Hmmm...
I'm not sure what tracks I'd use for a winter mix, but I know for certain I'd start with Snow and close with Spring.
Gonna work it out...
