I was listening to this recording earlier.. It just blows me away every time. I think it's the best chems gig recording I've heard. It sounds like it's been recorded by a pro, and run through some compressors and amps to make it LOUD. The reverb is still intact, etc.
The recording really makes me feel like I'm there again, at a Come With Us support gig, it's such a great atmosphere, insanely intense. I think it's the range of the recording -- you've got crashing highs, deep bass, and everything between darting and echoing about. The way the tune in Music:Response comes through is wild, each note is just so clear and bold, really hits home, and it reverbs such that you actually feel like you're there. I can't picturing the dancing guy. But it's Under the Influence and It Began In Afrika that seriously blow me away. Anybody who's heard those two, with that bass, and those screeches, and the great transition... you know.

He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I need to download this set right away! Like, when I get home from work. I would love to relive some Come With Us gig moments - that was wicked. Out of curiosity does the set contain The Test? I'd love to hear that live again. The Chems closed with that at Coachella when they supported Come With Us...
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Just got it from the effteepee, it's just 39 minutes. I thought this was the full version... there's more? Like, I have to listen the rest!
What an amazing set, fucking amazing, even the reverb is there as Glako-Fahn already mentioned. I'm shocked, this is probably the best live recording of all the Chems gigs there is.

It's really great and it's got a fantastic sound quality. Biff, would be great if you could manage to upload the other part soon ;-) .
Man, the 2002 intros of Star Guitar are the best ever! The first seconds when Temptation is introduced step by step, babab (sound) tap tap tap tap (bass drum) bababa (sound) tap tap tap tap a couple of times and then the full melody comes, it's just an electric-eargasm!

the gig was recorded by radio 3, Leidsekade Live if I'm correct. I recorded it on tape back then. Got it somewhere on MD now. Great quality indeed. It also had a little interview with Tom & Ed before the gig started and the DJ giving the set list (like we need that 8) ). Unfortunaly the radio programm and the website doesn't exist anymore
