Actually, they (scientists studying the human genome) hope to have that ready in less than 20 years. They believe that, that is how long it will take to find the aging gene. A simple operation (or something similar, like a pill) would turn that gene off. Aging is the primary cause for death in old age (excluding diseases), you make the connection. Less than 20 years can mean before I'm 30 8)

Well, back on topic, soon after that, they hope to map the entire human genome and will therefore be able to create cells to counter every disease/virus. However, it is obvious that people would eventually (after a few hundred years) become bored with society, and probably kill themselves and/or others. Other people, of course, after that amount of time, would go out to be pure thinkers, and would not be bored for quite a while. And then there are the creative ones who would only sink to boredom in a state of depression.
