hehehe, nice one dude.
I love hip-hop and poetry and flow and I used to write a lot of song lyrics in case I ever ended up in a band, but never rhymes for hip-hop. Until the other day, bored in class, got a bit of a flow going.
As you can tell by the lyrics, I was in a bit of a bitter mood (not really, just gave me something to write about), but I was also feeling playful and trying to engage a bit of that Ludacris/Nate Dogg patter that I dig.
Here's how I spend my tuition money, writing this (hope it gives everyone a laugh or two; I'm clearly not taking it very seriously and it's still a work in process that I might add to when I need a laugh):
The six years that you and I were together
Had me thinkin' we might be forever
Excuse me if I sound a little bit jaded
It's just in the manner our love faded
It's not the thousands of dollars or all those hours spent
It's just the lack of acknowledgement I resent
It's not about recovering every cent, just about you not displaying respect
Without the support that I showed that helped you pull through
You might have fallen too
far to ever recover
enough to find you another
(Bridge)
But now I'm back in the game
Back in the team
Been a long while at least to me it seems
So to the coach I said "put me in"
Now it's time to be ridin' again
Hittin it up, ripping it up
Without slipping it up, she be givin it up
(Chorus)
I'm returning just a little bit rusty
Don't matter, high standards, still a little bit fussy
Tonight I'm giving lessons in loving
And she'll be waking up with a smile in the morning
Not seeing you I save gas money
Ironically, I save, use it as "get ass" money
Because tonight we'll be back at the club
Fine things on the dancefloor showing me love
Bumping and grinding with a bit of a rub
I'm raising the levels of satisfaction
Now that I've got a strong grip and a little bit of traction
Enjoy it while it lasts, just live for the attraction
New car, more trips, less slips, and I'm on the rise
No reason to hide, the challenge to find someone new I don't mind
Don't you worry, pretty soon I'll be hitting it from behind
(Bridge)
(Chorus)
X-D
Cheesy as......
