Just got out of the car where I was listening to Spring at full volume.

And now it's twinkling about in my head. Definitely a stuck-in-your-brain-all-day sort of tune!

Mercury Rev - Delta Sun Bottleneck Stomp (Chemical Brothers remix)

Just received the DSBS Aussie single in the mail yesterday and am listening to it for the first time now. 8O If you have not heard this Chems mix, I implore you to go buy it NOW. It is officially one of my favourite pieces of Chems work. Immediate, crazy, soulful, beautiful. Stunning. 8O

Plus, the Aussie single contains the original, a live cover of Neil Young's 'Vampire Blues', John Lennon's 'Isolation', and the Mercury Rev track 'Holes'.

Wow. eBay is good to me. Can't wait until 'Live at the Social' arrives this week.

The Music - Welcome to the North (album)

What an insipid album. Total step back from their promising, if uneven, debut. Nothing more than vaguely catchy mainstream modern rock.

I agree. Some of the tracks are okay-ish, but most of it is just annoying. I'm glad I bought that record second-hand..
