The Test is the best thing since the reel

I think that the test is by far the best track made by the chemical brothers, or anyone, for that matter since the private psychedelic reel. although i hate it when people say its only good because of ashcrofts vocals. yes the vocals are terrific but its the mystical epic feel in the last three minutes when the verses and chorus stop that really makes the test such a work of art.

Nope, for me it was always a toss-up between The Test and It Began In Afrika as being the best track (imo, of course) off Come With Us. I have very fond memories of the first time I heard Afrika, so I'm baised toward the song... But when everything is said and done I think The Test is my favorite song off Come With Us. I've always been a massive fan of The Verve and love Richard Ashcroft's solo work. Combine that with how I feel about the Chemical's music and its no wonder why I think The Test is gold. Who cares if other people think it's boring or whatever? The lyrics really hit home for me, the vocals soar, the overall composition of the song (from the melody to the nifty noises and the feeling I get when the song starts to the end when it winds down) is something I find incredible and absolutely moving. The Test is definitely one of my favorite Chemical songs ever created.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Not entirely convinced, I reckon if the ended on an extended version of Pioneer Skies, that would be amazing. But the test does kick ass, it took a while for me to get used to it, the vocals are kind of juxtaposed with song, the sound of ashcroft's voice, but after a few listens, you get it. And the video. Oh, the video.

I'd say two minutes of powerful intro, then it explodes into a psychedelic adventure for a minute, then it slows down and blows you head off with a high-powered chord.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

I'm working on a remix of pioneer skies. The second time I heard it... I had the idea. Currently its a 15-minute work-in-progress. I hope to cut it down a few minutes so I can get everything in with as much *togetherness*

Saying that the test is the best thing since TPPR to me is almost an insult
But then again i dont believe anything should ever be compared to the superiority and pure genious that is TPPR, simply because there is already an outright winner.
TPPR is the Ian Thorpe, the Michael Jordan, the J.K Rowling of the chemical brothers entire history.
