I wish I lived closer to the lake (or any kind of large body of water). Although, my backyard is flooded from all the rain we had today.

@inchemwetrust: Aw, lame that you get pulled over for racial profiling. :-( But yes, being near bodies of water gives one room for much reflection. No pun intended.

I feel so down tonight. I've been so frustrated with one girl for so long. Fucking girl tells me she likes me, but she's got a dude right now, and we're good friends already. So every time we hang out or talk or whatnot I'm just like "AAARGH!" inside immediately afterward, and all other time I'm not hanging with her. FUCK. Frustratiooooon...

Plus, the town is fucking dry, so I've got no green. And out of my two friends (including the previously mentioned female and my [literally] antisocial male friend), there's not a whole lot of chilling to do. I don't have much of a social life. Fucking hell.

My advice to you is to ignore the girl if you want to hook up with her. It's true of both sexes, but girls definitely love attention, and sometimes they're shameless about extorting it out of their male friends.

I went through a situation recently where I was hooking up, lightly, with a girl for years, only to have her recently, after I became single, say that she only wanted to be friends with me. She knows, absolutely, that I would continue to hit on her and flirt with her, so I gave her an ultimatum. It was either hang out with me and we can date, or we'll go our separate ways.

She chose the latter, but I don't regret giving her the ultimatum. It made me feel pathetic to be the cat pawing at the dangling string. Fuck that.

Anyway, hopefully my little anecdote provided a helpful glimpse, if not entertainment. Hang in there and try to focus on what you want to do with your life and what your interests are. I've been doing that so intently lately and it's only led to great things.

Yeah, as much as it might seem like I am going against my own gender I am going to have to agree with Pooter. It is unfortunate that when dealing with some women, you have to not play into their little mind games and put them on ignore in order for them to want you or show an interest. It sucks. Why can't people be, you know, real?

Makes me glad I'm married. :lol: I hated dating, and I certainly hated the song and dance that went along with it because as it is with women - the flipside is sometimes men have no shame in extorting attention out of their female admirers.
