So, yeah, that's 184 different beers from 40 different countries.

Eighteen of the beers were new introductions to me while on my two California trips this year. I hope to make a considerable addition to the tally in London. :D

Many of those beers should never be consumed by humans ever again, but a number have stood out.

Definetly check out:

Pilsner Urquell - Czech Republic

Chimay - Belgium

Duvel - Belgium

Niksicko Gold - Serbia and Montenegro

Delerium Tremens - Belgium

Leffe Blonde - Belgium

Hoegaarden - Belgium

Newcastle Brown Ale - England

Anchor Steam Beer - USA

Suffolk Strong - England

Primator Weizenbier - Czech Republic

And, though it's not a particularly good beer, this one is great on a hot summer day in a chilled mug (it's the only beer I will drink in a chilled glass):

Victoria Bitter - Australia

And trust me, many of those beers I've not had just one of either.... 8O

Over the 8 months between August 2004 and March 2005, I was averaging slightly over 1 new beer a day. 8O I've tailed off considerably since then.

I'm still far from the heaviest drinker among my friends. I just try to get a little more variety. I'm sure I'll regret it in 10 years or so.

Dude, Darkstar, texas is a fucking wasteland for beer... you can't buy anything besides miller, coors and bud at the stores, and even at a bar the best you can do is a can of guinness draft... it absolutely sucks.
