did somebody regularly listen to brotherhood disc1?
after a time i must say i just "listen to" some of the ebw's and the remix of all rights reserved, when i'm spinning somewhere. for disc1 i only listen to it twice nonstop..
what about you?

I have never listened to it all the way through. I don't like the edited versions of the songs. For me, it was all about the EBW's. The updated version of Keep My Composure was a nice treat as well.
I was a sucker and bought the CD, so I didn't even get the ARR remix....

Which format is the ARR remix available on? I think I missed something there.
I'm the same as Satur8, I don't like the edits either. Much prefer to listen to the tracks on their respective albums. I think I've listened to Brotherhood once, and Singles 93-03 2 or 3 times.

The ARR (Fight the Drabs mix) was released as an iTunes exclusive (or maybe digital release exclusive?).
Anyways, it is quite different, and has elements similar to what they play live, but also some weird beatz/synth-patterns. It is okay, but it would be cool to have a live recording in addition. Nevertheless, this alternate mix is quite welcome :)

Good question. I admit I didn't regularly listen to the Brotherhood disc 1. For me it didn't have so much to do with there being edits and not liking the songs outside of the album context. The Brotherhood disc was a bit like Singles re-jigged (as advertised) - and to back track here, when Singles came out, I actually did listen to it quite a bit because I liked hearing the relatively quick overview of the Chemicals' evolution. I suppose the same can be said for Brotherhood disc 1. But Brotherhood disc 1 wasn't really meant for the messageboard posting nerds like us. ;) And since I'd played out Singles previously, it was time to move on... to the real reason I purchased Brotherhood which was the EBW's. That, and the snazzy limited edition packaging, hehe.
Like satur8, for me it was also about the EBW disc. I have it in my car actually and I enjoy it. I know for a lot of you guys these EBW's aren't all that obscure to your ears, and there was the whole argument that having the EBW's readily available somehow took something away from the die hard collector's aspect of it. But arguments aside the EBW's are songs less listened to than the tunes that appear on the albums. And I think I'm a pretty big fan but I didn't have all of the EBW's in the first place - and I know I can't be the only one. So listening to EBW's 1-10 in one place in chronological order offered a new slant on the evolution of the Chemical Brothers.
And that's my 2 cents. :P

Yes, whirly, I was also missing an EBW or two before this release. I think this collection offers something new and interesting to the hardcore and casual fans alike, while the vinyl collectors technically still have their original 12" records which can be considered special and rare.
Also, I agree about the "alternate" evolution and hisoty we get from listeneing to these ten tracks in chronological order.

for me i listen to brotherhood for
a) midnight madness and keep my compsure
b) the EBW's.
Also its one of those things for me where i have to have the physical cd so that when i have kids i can pull it out and educate them :P
My friend actually got his lil sister 'brotherhood' for her 15 birthday and he's converted her allready.
