So was Krisper's comment about a way to restore my posts a legitimate possibility?
I fear that IguanaPunks reply is probably going to be the case.
Pretty sure the only way to do it is to directly access the database, find one of your old posts, pull the member_id off that, find your new membership and change the id to the old one. A moderator is not going to be able to do that. It will involve someone with full server access. I have done quite a bit with forums before and could do this in minutes if given access, but I doubt that is going to happen.

Haha, is this some elaborate ploy to take control of the site?

No elaborate ploy. I wouldn't want control of the site, but it is frustrating to see problems that could be easily fixed, there seems to be no one around who has the access required to do it.

I'd say that's the person who set up this forum in the first place. I reckon they could fix it.

I don't want to be rude but who cares about how many post Champiness has/had?
Are you proud of that little number?
I don't get it

Thanks
The reason I ask is because I think it's an age thing. When we first started on the Internet, post counts seemed to matter to most people. It's stupid I know, but the Internet was young then and we were still finding our feet.

Maybe it's because he's brought vitality and personality to this forum just like everyone else. Therefore, he has a right to be concerned about his own post count, whether we care or not ( and if he doesn't get his posts back, he can have mine!)
or
we could all have everyone's post count back to zero!
