i started buying mp3 about 6 months back. cos i like to mix on cds i can't hardly get any house music on cd. so i was transfering vinyl to cd, which is very backwards thing to do. there are quite alot of mp3 shops now that do my kinda music. they normally get the tunes before the record shops too!! they are normally a fraction of the price, i don't have to buy any remixes i dont want. i dont have to wait for delivery they come down in minutes. i dont get sleeves, but then again i'm probably only missing out on a plain white sleeve or some labels in house sleeve. mp3 for me are very useful. they are revolutionizing the house music scene. alot of the top jock these days get the music sent to a sever. and they can get their latest promo's downloaded where ever they are in the world.
having said that i would never get an album or mix cd on mp3. you just cant beat having a hard copy to enjoy!! when it comes down to it, its just a choice thing, what ever you preffer.
I wish they did a similar thing for breaks, I'd be right there!

Well, I would like to hear this tune as soon as possible (doesn't matter what way), but I know that I won't hear it on our local radio for sure. Actually the Electronic Battle Weapon track really dissapointed me. When I first time heard about it's release I was so happy and so unpatient to listen to it, but when I turned on this tune - I just falled down on my chair with sadness. Hope this new tune will be really GREAT to bump it on my speakers. Something with sweet breaks and cool sounds, not like crapy house or techno beats. (I ask to forgive me for such, maybe, hard reply, but rthat's what I think. Thanks)
P.S. Im fan of Chems for their BigBeat style, and I won't be him anymore if they choose another style.

Gulliver I don't mean to rip you apart and be mean, but I have to respond here. I don't really understand why some are so adamant about the Chems sticking to Big Beat! It's OK to prefer their old stuff to their new material, fine. But they aren't going back - get over it. I get the impression that the Chemicals reluctantly carried that big beat torch and personally, though I loved the big beat, I am glad the Chemicals chose not to box themselves into that one category for 10+ years. Anyone that has ears knows that even though you can hear the Chems roots in recent work, they're constantly moving foward and taking risks. Big beat was great while it was 1997 but you have to admit, though while great it is dated as hell. It's a new age, folks. Y'all can grow with the Chemicals and embrace the future like they have, or you can dig out your old Chemical records and weep in remembrance of the good ol big beat days.

i don't want Tom and Ed to repeat their music on every new release. as whirly said: risk is it that makes us all lookin' out for galvanize. if it was a second GYH (which was amazing) i'd be disappointed. but don't think so.
TGP was least big beat available. nevertheless, GREAT one...

I think we all know what song to play at anTypes funeral
If we look at the word Funeral, it contains the word FUN and i'm sure most of us know they arn't fun. What sick man came up with this cruel word.
in german it is BEGRBNIS. no fun in it :'(

I am not a fan of downloading music but I will download "Galvanize" because it's an official release. If the chems do it the sam way Prodigy did with "Memphis Bells" it wil be different then the official release.
I am also a big fan of the Big Beat era of the Chems but the new stuff they do is sooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing. I am always happy to hear or read previews of the album and everybody says (or writes) that it will be different then the albums the did before.
Another countdown has started :D
