I only had a very weathered vhs tape of some of their viddies plus the Red Rocks show -

Me too! Thanks again! Thing got pretty worn out over the past few years.

And the sandwich shop... hehe

I looked to see if Ed was eating one, but he wasn't. Oh well.

I haven't watched all of it yet, but what I have seen has been amazing. Really impressed. Left me wanting more though. Maybe a full on 5.1 live DVD????

You are always welcome, souphead! I've watched my copy plus loaned it out so much, I'm actually afraid to put it in my vcr because it might get eaten.

I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Ed eating that big hogie in that shop. Ah's well. I suppose that treat was for the lucky people on the floor when the Chems stopped in Los Angeles a few years ago. ;)

I find the best thing about the DVD is the making of "Star Guitar" by Michel Gondry. Fucking amazing how he pulled that of. TPPR live is great. I'm a bit dissapointed that the DVD isn't in 5.1 digital surround. The private reel video is fun to watch. They should have made that longer. Now we have to wait for a live DVD. The live tracks are great but 1 gig would be way cooler. It's a good DVD but it could have been so much better.

you know what is funny. If you watch the new DVD and check out the interview with Wayne Coyne you would think he has never heard a Chemical Brothers track his entire life. It's like he is back in the 6th grade and giving a book report by just looking at the cover..

The DVD rocks (the videos are all so diferent in style), though the sound quality isn't what I was hoping for :/. I would say that it's slightly above VHS quality. Also, the way they respected (converting to the 16:9 wide screen format) was HORRIBLE! The interviews are grade school cut and paste and some of the videos are a bit stretched out.

I would preferred a 5.1 mix of the live tracks. The packaging of the DVD says its in Dolby Digital. Which in 99.6% of the cases means Dolby Digital 5.1. But in this cases it's only in Dolby Stereo

I wasn't too happy about the sound quality too. esp Hoops and Setting Sun. It would have been such an awesome live show but sound is just crappy. The interviews were ok i was expecting them to be a bit long. The Private Reels was fun to watch and so was TPPR live.

I let my son watch some of the DVD last night. He loved being able to watch Star Guitar on the television (since he's a train fanatic anyway, so obviously he loves the song too.) He's also enthralled with sea life especially jellyfish, so I let him watch the The Test viddy, but only until the girl climbed out onto shore because the rest of the video would give him nightmares.

The best part is that my son's favorite song is The Private Psychadelic Rell (it's genetic I tell ya) so naturally I let him watch the live TPPR. He calls the song his "blue song" since the DYOH cd is blue, and blue is his favorite color, and back when he was 3 and first loved the song couldn't pronounce Private Psychdelic. Nor could he pronounce Chemical Brothers way back when so he lovingly refers to the people who made his Blue Song Tom and Ed. So anyway. He was captivated with the whole live TPPR live thing, and kept wondering why there were so many people dancing there, "what are Tom and Ed doing with those machines", "those clowns are kind of scarey", why I didn't take him with me to see Tom and Ed the last time around, do Tom and Ed know all the people in that big crowd, and when are they coming over for dinner.

Sorry I'm gushing, but sometimes my son is so damn cute and so damn cool for a kindergartener, I can't help but brag.

Always proud of my son, a future Chem gig goer. I wasn't joking when I said earlier in another thread that watching the dvd live TPPR was a sort of family event! ;)

He remarks about the cd being blue (blue gray, but if it has a hint of blue in it, then it's blue to him) Funny though he doesn't call the other songs on DYOH "blue songs."

Same story as my little sister.

When she was 4 years old.

She was always asking me if I would play the CD with the naked baby.

You all know that this is the cd Nevermind from Nirvana.

At one time she also asked me if I could play the Album with the cow on front. She ment the album from Pink Floyd.

A nice thing how little children visualize music into albumcovers.

Send my greetings to the little Chem.fan.
