Moreover, there is more suprise, excitement if you don't know the setlist.
However, I'll download any recording in order to listen again shows after having experienced them live.

I was just listening to that rarities track about 2 days ago! I really love Dust Up Beats (I think it is the live version?) and also Flashback and Hold Tight London (both live).
I think Biff is an automatic legend just because his name is in my iTunes.

Just out of interest, and to save time, could anyone tell me which ones have the above mentioned live versions of Flashback and Hold Tight London? It'd be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I have very little room on my hard drive atm, but I would probably download one of these mixes if I knew it had great sound quality. I'm particularly eying those 1996 recordings...

Just thinking, it would be a handy place to store some of these mixes.
For those who don't know, you copy your music from your music folder into the dropbox folder on your PC/Laptop after you've installed the software.
It will then upload to the DB web storage. From there you may share the folder among other DB users/friends or you can just send out a public link for someone to use if they're only looking for one/two.
I've got an account, at the moment i've got 3GB of storage available - you get to start with 2GB - and when someone accepts an invite it increases the account limit by 250MB.
As always though, there is a trade-off.... my upload speed is about as fast as a granny taking valium driving on a sunday afternoon, so it takes me a few hours just to upload a few hundred MB. The second prob with this is, when using a shared folder and ONE user decides to delete a track/video/file, it's deleted off everyones' computer unless they've copied from the DB folder to their music folder.
So in that respect it would may be wise for three/four people to host the mixes and post the public link if someone asks.
Just a thought i had that it would be more easily shared among fans this way.
I can try this in a little while and do a test run using some of the links from Inchemwetrust listed above.
If anyone is interested in trying it out send me a mail/PM or my FB link should be in my profile.
First though, dinner.

Flashback is on the Red Rocks recording (I think) and the (absolutely epic) live version of Hold Tight London is on the Trafalgar recording.
Also, about the post above me, sorry to steal your thunder. Dropbox seems like a really good idea! Although it also would probably require a paid account of some sort. What if (this is a big "if") we could get an FTP in a place that wouldn't be likely to steal it out from under our noses - namely, right here? A live archive would fit right in there with all the great new stuff the website has now, and it seems like the new site owners are a lot more sensitive to our opinions and suggestions.

I have a server at home with an FTP. I could make a database but the only drawback would be that it's quite slow (110kB/s max in upload) and that would greatly use my bandwidth...
EDIT : allright, I put somthing up. email me to get access. I will create a username for you. You and only you will have to use it, I will check logs and ban anybody who seems to be logging in from too many different IPs.
