Going to what is probably the biggest "rave" or whatever you want to call it of the year later tonight, Horizon 3. Headliner is ShyFX and I am absolutely stoked about getting some deebee action! yeah! Four rooms, 50 djs, lasts until noon tomorrow (although I'll likely pussy out well before that).
Well sorted and it should be a very good time.

Well, an interesting night, I suppose. The rave got shut down a little after 1 AM because some girl was an idiot and decided to overdose on drugs and ruin things for everyone.
Now, of course, her health and whether she is alright is clearly the most important thing, but it would have been nice if she hadn't ruined things for everyone else.
So, yeah, things shut down halfway through Shy FX's set. They moved things to a club a few blocks over, but the lineup to get in was long and the girls I went with were wearing short skirts and it was cold and snowing out. So we just went back and post-partied a bit back at a friend's house.
Decent night overall, but a real shame it had to be ruined for everyone. It was a great venue by Winnipeg's standards and it's unlikely we'll ever get to use it again. And more unlikely that any decent headliners will come to town.

So today our neighbors sort of catty corner to us were moving out today. They live in an apartment that's just like our except they're on the top floor. I've been fretting lately because they're remodelling all the apartments here so we have to move out by June - not really looking forward to packing and moving in the summer when it's so hard to find a place to live. Anyway, with our neighbors moving out, stash and I started circling like vultures. He gets on the horn to the leasing office and said, "we want that apartment and we have to move out in June anyway..."
So, instead of moving in June we'll be moving next month. They'll be completely gutting the new place we're moving into - stuff like scraping the acoustic (cottage cheese looking stuff) off the ceiling, new bath and light fixtures, new flooring. And we'll be on the top floor which means we won't have anyone above us stomping around, we'll get vaulted ceilings, and more square footage so that means a bit more space for us and anyone that's planning on visiting in April pre-Coachella! Yay!

be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I've been working on music so much lately that I keep counting in sets of four. I can no longer count from one to ten without pausing twice. In fact it's worse than that; I can't stop at ten... I have to count to sixteen or I feel funny. It's annoying and creepy and makes me laugh out loud in public when I see numbers, hence why I just spelt out all the numbers in this post. 8O :? :-//
