Right folks...for anyone who hasnt sorted out accommodation, where to party afterwards and so on...I hope I can help an ickle bit.
I discovered this nifty website a few months ago...its for cheap shared accommodation.
http://bookings.trav...ypes.htm?S=HT14
Its pretty obvious what you have to do once you are on it. Choose a cheap room and stay in it. I used it a few weeks back, the one we stayed in Paddington isnt available that night but all are good prices. If folks got together they could maybe get a shared dorm room perhaps if you are planning on staying in town that evening.
THIS http://www.londonfre...ls.asp?id=22486
is happening...The Brick Lane Festival. Its on all day and on until 2am. (I couldnt find a better website, sorry).
There is talk of a Turnmills thing but I cant see anything on the website tbh.
Obviously those of us who are going home cos we have work next day will have to leave you's all to carry on the partying but I hope that those who do stay on have a wicked after party.

God, now that complicates things.
The train fare for me is stupid money, seems there's no such thing as saver returns any more and they've shoved up the prices as well. Grrrrrr.
So I'm driving. I had been considering a Travelodge in outer London and taking the Tube there and back, thereby avoiding the Ken-gestion zone.
But if the party finishes at 9.30, I would defo be wanting to move on to something afterwards and that's where it all gets complicated. Tubes don't run especially late on a Sunday night, so I'd be at the mercy of night buses.
Must say I'd rather go to Gurnmills than this Brick Lane do, but let's see what the people decide first.

Thanks for the clarification TW...
Tyler, you are plain bonkers to drive all the way from Yorkshire! Oh well! Make some money picking up folk on the way maybe? Night buses arent a prob though...bloody brilliant imo (AND cheap!). Once had great fun finding my way back to Richmond after missing the last tube home after Underworld at Somerset House in 03! Only took another 3 hours but we got to the car eventually! :)
And dont go panicking about whats going to happen...just go with the flow...Turnmills info might be made available before next weekend. I personally dont reckon on anything happening/being laid on especially, as its a Sunday...does Turnmills usually lay on special nights outside of the regular clubbing days? I can understand it, if it was a Bank Holiday next day but a regular Sunday night when the place is going to be a gym early next morning on the Monday?
Anyhoo, will just have to wait and see.

Lucy, the point is I need to decide whether to book a hotel or not. If people are *definitely* going to an after party, fine, I won't waste my money on a hotel. If they're not, then I could do with some creature comforts overnight.
And a drive from Yorkshire to London is nothing. Beats ludicrous train prices and not even being able to get a direct journey because of frigging engineering works that weekend.

I would honestly say at this late time with only 8 days of booking time left, just book a cheap room no matter what, at one of those rooms on the linky or with Travelodge, whatever...dont leave it any longer or else you'll get screwed on costs with that too!
I dont think any of us are likely to find an organised allnighter unless local to London and with lots of chums in the know of a good thing on a Sunday in London or expect Turnmills to put a night on in the hope that 800+ of the Traf Square partyhards will turn up on a schoolnight! (And as nothing is advertised currently...!) (But hey...you never know...Chems and TM and all that...)
If anyone DOES know any better, then ace, its party time but us folks need to know V ASAP! Maybe TM will have a party...I do hope so for everyone's need for afterpartyingsakes! On the night, maybe something will show up but I personally wouldnt take the risk. Especially after any uber travelling has been involved.
Hats off to all of you travelling from afar for this incredible one off gig...me...I am just an hour or so's train ride away from home and have work next day so wont be partying whatever happens afterwards...muchlike most of the audience probably. V jealous of you lucky lot with booked off time but as I will only have been at my new job for a week at that point...best not take the piss immediately! The following weekend and my last fest of the season...THAT's another story!!!

Yes whirly, managed a shift swap!
Now we just need to get you and stash airlifted over.
I'm so glad you managed to find a way, Tyler. Really - the heavens must have decided to show you some mercy.
As for me being airlifted... yeah. If my eye teeth were worth something, I'd most certainly give 'em so I could go!
