I have a dilemna - EMI's pressing only the single cd edition in India and importing the double disc in another 10 days (they say!). The single disc will be on shelves in a day or two - in the past I've not had problems buying multiple copies of Chems' albums, but this time I'm not so sure if I want to spend twice on CD 1. I think I'll somehow dig a hole in the ground and bury myself for the next ten days. Grr...

Got mine....Interesting that the artwork we saw earlier is still used in the packaging. It's currently on EBW8....in my car but I'm on break in class right now.

Well in the last little bit of time I had left in London today I went to an HMV & picked up the boxed version. I was hoping for maybe a poster (along the lines of the one that game with TPPR single) but it's all good, the postcard is nice ;-). Currently ripping them so I can leave the original discs stored away.

Contractual fulfillment.
Lets hope they get up to speed with some of the potential products and distribution models that are possible now. Look at Underworld. Not only are they responsible for one of the best live DVD's of any electronic act ever, they also explored releasing music on their website. They set a high standard but its preferable to chewing on major label press releases about, for some reason, yet another best of.
Releasing the battle weapons is cool, but there would have been better ways to package such an iconic series of releases. As a "Disc 2" is weak. I would have loved a premium package with perhaps Ed and Tom talking through the gear used, why, the gigs tested etc. Modular synths, dancefloor edits, samples and dub plates are way more interesting than... a label press release and a jewel case.

Kind of looks like a small box with a lid ,but it folds out! Each disc has it's own envelope. And the postcard has the popular 'Kate Gibb' artwork!
Take a look!
