i got a pretty good sound system at home. its all about having the right amp and speakers. i drive a pair of mission speakers for monitoring when im mixing and some big floor standing celestion speakers which cost silly money (unless you know the right people!!) all driven through a harman/kardon amp. sound quality is not to be messed with!!

Jeez, wayno - what are they doing next door, building a freakin shopping mall? It seems like that drilling's been going on for weeks!
it has!! They're renovating the flat next door. I've seen it open before and there's like no floor (well, there's concrete or whatever) and it's all torn apart. And unfortunately because I usually work evenings and weekends, I get to hear that annoying noise M-F, 9-5... but the good part is that when it's done in late January (I hope), as long as I still have my sanity, I will truly appreciate the peace and quiet - that is, the ability to listen to my music without other noises over it and interrupting the quiet parts..
on a similar note, they just removed the large green net that was over the whole building while they were doing renovation on the external wall - they say there are two major pastimes in Hong Kong: shopping and construction - so now I can truly appreciate my view out of the 27th floor..

Well, damn... I guess that's Hong Kong for you, might as well build upwards. I hope all that drilling and construction stops when Push the Button comes out!
You should do something funny, like moon the construction workers. Or move your television facing out the window, and play porn. If anything that'll stop the drilling for a while.

Well, the only workers are on the other side of my wall, now - not outside my window anymore (Thank God.. it was a little shock to be walking around.. well, you know.. heh).
I'll play TPPR really loud... it worked for Noel Gallagher, right? ;)

Out my side window I see canyon hills. Out my livingroom window when it's daylight I see the trees getting ready to drop their red leaves.
wayno, it's really cool you live in a highrise building. I've always liked the idea of living in one, but out here in California, where there's always a chance of an earthquake...
Still, you should've mooned 'em!!
