lehman was good.
frankly, i didnt want either team to win - dirty united against the bleedin gooners? clearly as a confirmed yiddo as much as i hate utd, cant have the gooners winning anything.
maybe they should have called it a draw and just given the cup to the ref?

Wow. What a day. Words can't even begin to describe how that felt for me. Before the penalties, I had my head in my hands and I was literally shaking. My throat is raw from screaming so loudly and I still have that ecstatic glow.
Moments from the game flash through my head continuously still.
Have to say that I was very pleased for Smicer to have made the contribution he did and loved him kissing the badge after his penalty. No matter where you play next year Vladi, you'll never walk alone.
Same for Dudek, who was erratic, yet sensational.
And Stevie's staying. What a day!

mc marsh Escribi:
I know it sounds pretty obvious, but local lad Gerrard looks geniunely ecstatic holding up the cup - good for him!!
According to a BBC report, Vladimir Smicer quoted as saying: "The cup ended up with Stevie G in his room. His girlfriend wasn't here, so he had the cup in his bed instead." :D

From liverpoolfc.tv:
One of the biggest bands in the world Oasis celebrated Liverpool's Champions League victory in fine style by walking out to their gig in London with the anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' on Wednesday night.
Oasis played the Coronet theatre in London on Wednesday night but they didn't come on stage until Liverpool had beaten AC Milan. Instead of having a support band brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher got a big screen up on stage for fans to watch the match.
There was an amazing atmosphere in the Coronet with fans cheering Liverpool and the band saluted the Reds achievement by scrapping their normal introduction song and instead came on to Liverpool's anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone', bathed in red light.
Then for the first song of the set Oasis singer Liam Gallagher saluted Liverpool and dedicated 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' to the AC Milan fans!
Speaking before the gig Noel Gallagher told NME.com: "The gig was sold out and I said, 'Instead of getting a support band, why don't we get a big screen and stick it in the middle of the stage so everyone can watch the game. Then we'll play after the game and get a late curfew'. They all went for it, so we hired a big cinema thing."
--------------
Pretty damn cool, if you ask me. 'specially considering the Gallaghers are Mancs. Must be City fans. :D

You're totally right. Reminds me of Celta Vigo in Spain a couple years ago. Made it to the Champions League quarterfinals, I believe, and got relegated the same season. Haven't made it back to the first division either.
Not to mention that Everton isn't seeded for the qualifiers, meaning they will be playing a team such as Inter, Celtic, Rangers, etc. Straight drop to the UEFA Cup, IMO.
