Royksopp return on June 27 with self produced second album The Understanding - the follow-up to 2001's Melody AM.
Tracks are Triumphant; Only This Moment(the first single, out June 13); 49%; Boys; Follow My Ruin; Beautiful Day; What Else Is There?; Circuit Breaker; Alpha Male; Someone Like You; Dead To The World.
Vocals are by the duo, with guests Kate Havnvik, Get Physical's Chelonis R Jones and Karin Dreijer of The Knife.
Just read this from channel 4 teletext page 351, this is all I could find and theres nothing on the Royksopp website yet. I really am looking forward to this release straight after Glasto. It would be great to see these guys added to some of the poor festival line ups this year.

i hate to be negative, but did anyone get bored of the forst royksopp album? some tracks were amazing, but over time i find the album as a whole a bit dull - controversial! :o :?
saw them live though, and they were ace, really beefed it up - hope the new albums a bit more like that.

yes i was thinking the same. some melodies and tracks were nice and smooth to listen to but unfortunately nothing spectacular as for to me. But nevertheless i'm very excited about their new one. Maybe it'll be a lot better.

I still love Royksopp - I think the whole album (Melody AM) is awesome. Their sound is brilliant imo, did you listen to it on headphones mippio? I think the album needs to be listened to on headphones to be fully appreciated. I love the melodies they create and the way they use the channels - you know when you hear sounds in different parts of your head? Liked the flanged beats as well.
