In what way are the USA connected to this ? The Chems are British so the Japanese don't import their albums from the USA but from the UK.

The price in Japan is 2500 ￥ (at least on amazon) which is 22 € 34. That's not a lot more expensive than the french price (about 5 or 6 €uros). And it doesn't chang emany things cause some of us will probably buy the Japanese edition as an import in order to have Don't Think.

Anyway, if the "Japan only" trend can be justified, I still can't stand the "iTunes only" one. It's just stupid.

no you have to look at the Japanese prices. for the Japanese to buy their own domestic copy of further on amazon.co.jp it would cost ￥ 2,500. but if you buy an import copy of further in japan on amazon.co.jp it only costs ￥ 1,555. that 40% cheaper to buy an import. so in japan to make people buy the japaness edition rather than an import they add bonus tracks.

there is no point getting frustrated over Japanese only or itune only releases, its just marketing. 9 times out of 10 the bonus track appear as b-side, bonus disc etc.

Seal never appeared as a B-Side.

Concerning iTunes only, it's like Brotherhood and the remix of ARR : what's the point of giving one more track to the people who buy the mp3 than to the people who pay more to buy the physical edition ? I remember that at that moment, a lot of those who bought the CD of Brothehood thought that "Fight The Drabs" (remix of ARR) would become available in free download shortly. But it wasn't. So some people who had already bought the CD had to buy the album again on iTunes in order to have the missing track.
Couldn't EMI just put an opendisc so that the people who bought the CD could at least download the missing track ?

It's this kind of thing that kills the CD market, not only illegal download.

Edit : oh and because you mentioned B-Sides, I'm not even sure that the singles will keep on being released physically. Escape Velocity was released as a promo only vinyl and Swoon is only available as digital download. And none of them had a B-Side. So not only the singles don't have B-sides any more but we can't even buy them physically. That's a real pity.

I think most record labels sign a contract with iTunes which means that they have to release records with a bonus track or iTunes won't sell it. I don't like it either but it's just business, like the Japan thing.

I got it in a record store in Vancouver back last year. Kinda cool to know I potentially have something that is 1 of 1000. I use it to play No Need when I'm Djing. love it!

The version of AMMC starts when the cowbell/cymbal starts. It doesn't have the build up that is at the end of Burst Generator.
