Never cared much for Manson's music, not my thing really but my respect for him went up several notches after seeing Bowling For Columbine. What he said made a lot of sense, and he brought up his point intelligently. Plus the fact he cancelled his Colorado shows after Columbine out of respect for the victims and the Littleton community speaks volumes.

Agree. Bolwing for Columbine made me change my opinion about Manson. Or actually GAVE me a opinion about Manson...i dont like his music and his show at all though , it's scary as fuck , i dont wanne meet him in the night in a dark street hehehe.

For a start he looks like a freak and is very scary, why do something that to your body, Im told he was his lower ribs removed. Im a Christian therefore someone who stands as an Anti-Christ goes against what I belive in. He encorages santanists, although there is no direct link he has been linked to shootings in school. His music in my opnion is awfull and I really can not see the appeal.

i saw manson at brixton academy in 1997. not really into his music put he put on a wicked show. weird artifical metal spider leg stilts things, bizarre s&m costumes, weeing himself onstage (haha), cutting his chest open with a glass bottle (blatantly fake, but good entertainment), - preaching from a fake pulpit, tearing up the bible and throwing it into the crowd, wiping his arse with the american flag and then a snowfall onstage for his last tune!! 8O (looked well impresive with the lights and everything). music not really my cup o' tea at all, but a really interesting, lively and entertaining show, where the music almost became secondary to the theatre.



i think the reason most christians dont like manson is because he makes them consider their own hypocrasy - i mean they set these moral standards for evreyone then often dont live by them anyway - all manson does is concentrate all of this into one difficult to swallow package. and the real irony is that manson comes across as a very considred, sensitive intelligent chap who in his evry day lkife probably lives it more as jesus intended than most christians!



as for the school shootings, well its just a case of art reflecing life reflecting life reflecting art etc etc the two are symbiotic, they feed off each other, they dont exist in a vacuum, one couldnt exist witout the other. it REALLY fucks me off when musicians and artists get the blame for what is essentially societies problems. people are influenced by everything, and i think the make up of their personalities are far mnoree likely to be influenced by whats happened in their lives than a marilyn manson record X-D

I havnt read into it that much and Im not to fussed, I just don't like him in genral. What im saying is that he has been blamed for school shootings due to the people involved listening to his music, however what real evidence is there, he didnt actually say 'go and shoot people', even so I think his genral message could of contributed to these children being disturbed.



His appearence isnt a big deal, but still I can't see the attraction, however im not that narrow mined mippio that im just going to dismiss him cause he has a freaky appreance.



As a trannie teacher I also find it quite distrubing that one of his albums is called 'Smells Like Children'. The usage of those words together is quite discusting, what point is he trying to make by calling an album this?
