Hello all! Been off the loop, but what exactly's happening with 8? Shouldn't we be hearing some rumours around this time?
Obviously don't meant to rush you T&E, but is there anything to look forward to next summer or late?
I've always dreamt of following them on the road across Europe, and since my other favourite band Muse will be on the road I was just being hopeful if I can catch both of my Gods finally since travel is expensive from India.

Don't look like, or I missed something?
<The C, the H, the E, the M, the I, the C, the A, the L, the brothers! THE BROTHERS!>

So.... if it took 3 yrs for PTB and Further to get released, I also expect Chem 8 to be release before June 2013, with a single dropping in around Jan-Mar 2013! 'crosses fingers'

my bad for the dp.

And they're DJing with quite a few new Chemical tracks being dropped, don't forget that!

And both Tom and Ed are producing the next Klaxons album (Ed said Tom was doing something with them once, then the Klaxons confirmed on twitter that Ed was producing the album).

.@klaxons have been working with The Chemical Brothers on their long-awaited third album, which is due next year: http://bit.ly/WO0SrF

And supposedly The Chems will do the soundtrack for Adam Smith's Dope Girls - however, Adam Smith has described this film as "a long way off", and the movie is set in post World War I... not saying the Chems couldn't do it, but an electronic score might be odd there.

And Ed said there'd be a Chem 8. So there's some stuff coming! Give the bros a break.

Quote

“Something we’ve been talking for years, long before they did Hanna, is I’ve got a film called Dope Girls which is all set in the twenties and I’ve got in development with Film 4,” he said. “I’m going to get them to do the soundtrack and record it in the way they record it but then we’re going to get a jazz band in and transpose it all to that. So you’ll have like a ‘Chemical Beats’-type tune done in a 1920s jazz style, so it’ll feel contemporary yet it’ll feel right for the time. It won’t stick out like when people do Marie Antoinette. When people put modern music on period stuff it’s sometimes a bit funny. It’ll be right yet it’ll be like, ‘Whoa,’ because it’s a very hedonistic scene. This film is all about the nightclub scene in the twenties. So they’ll be putting some music together to my pictures for that.”

Since there are no facts yet, let's speculate about tracks we heard, which might be from the Chems and which might find a way on the new record:

Superflash (of course)

The track with the C.H.E.M.I.C.A.L. intro:

The "Pleasure" track:

And this absolutely great track: (from 0:20-4:40)

I still don't quite understand why he said "they" are no longer involved with the soundtrack instead of "we" are no longer involved... but whatever.

Call me nuts, but I still believe that at least the trailer's music is from 'them' :D

i think i'm not ready for a complete new album. maybe 2014. but for this year i wish they would release a fucking excellent e.p. with 4 to 5 tracks, just like the loops of fury, 14th century sky or the my mercury mouth e.p.. And i don't want a digital only release, not even a digital itunes only bonus track or shit. just one cd or vinyl with 4 or 5 new tracks - including here come the drums, hot acid rhytm 2, superflash, c.h.e.m.i.c.a.l brothers, problem/question, pumishers erection song, the animal track, the cool version of the pills from if you start hating, studio version of snow/surface, studio version of out of control/temptation/star guitar. ok, i'm ready for a new album, but first the e.p..

I'd also love the dust brothers stuff to get a proper re-release
surely the brothers can afford to clear the samples now?
