I have just heard PTB and would like to thank the Chems for such a flawless album. Every track is as interesting and fresh as Surrender (or even better), which I thought near impossible to accomplish. Precise production and use of unique sounds makes this one of, if not the best Chems album to date.
Please, make more like this :D

The studio version of Come Inside didn't impress me that much, It sounds more heavy and flows much better when played live, still a excellent track 8)
I agree fully.I think this track would be made perfect with some mental drums. Laaavly bass though 8)

PTB is awesome, every track has potential to be the best and most original song you've ever heard.
It's a lot louder and bolder than Surrender and even Come With Us... this is a good thing except I miss their emotion-inducing instrumental stuff like The Sunshine Underground (a 9 min slice of heaven). I can't help but feel they've taken a step towards mass publicity...

Err, did you turn off at Left Right? What about Close Your Eyes, and Surface to Air for emotional tracks!? And Hold Tight London, it may be a house track, but the vocal really brings the emotion to a phenominal level.
I really think Surface to Air needs a vocal, there are several builds where it cries out for a vocal to drop. Maybe there might be one later, like Orbital's The Box. When that came out as a single, it had a vocal at the end.

PTB is great, but i personally would like to hear more songs without all those vocals; still however, a very fine album.
we still have a lot of b.sides to come = more instrumental tracks.
How is this??(What b-sides?)

I am one who's always loved their instrumental material - the real trippy, epic stuff that leaves you with a feeling of euphoria and longing. Push The Button is most definitely a louder record than the previous 2, but I don't think it lacks for any emotion whatsoever. What isn't said in sounds and melody is said in vocals, and the way the music is arranged is testimony of their skill as musicians who do what they want, and create a sort of musical balance between melody and vocals within the songs. The vocals don't cancel out the music, the music doesn't cancel out the vocals, all a perfect balance especially if you listen to the gorgeous Hold Tight London with the vocal that hauntingly drifts in and out of the melody and synthesized sound. Or even The Test, from the moment Richard Ashcroft starts singing and the way his voice, his instrument pulls you in to the vocal "I'm home and I'm free". It's just amazing to me how the Chems managed to pull so much emotion off.
I wish the Chems every success - because even with the success they've already amassed especially with Surrender, it hasn't affected the emotional level of their music and it obviously hasn't affected their attitude and, needless to say, Tom's wardobe (still see that he's wearing his tank shirt at the gigs!) Anyway, their music is still very real, very tangible, it's something you can take with you and something that has longevity. It is so nice to see them highly revered across the pond, they just aren't as big as they could be... as they *should* be here in the States, and that's a shame. It means less gigs for us here, less chances for people to see them in their element which is performing live. Mass publicity for the Chems here in Southern California seems to be nonexistant.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
