^ I love it when you have that cottony deafness after a show. Sure, your eardrums are shot to hell and your chances of going deaf later on in life just jumped up a few hundred notches, but hey - you [i]earned/i] it!!!

I had that sort of thing after the Brixton Orbital gig. It didn't last anywhere near as long though, because I had to hang around London for the trains to start (not on my own, with a couple of fellow giggers). Man, London is bad, it's so seedy & dodgy. I hate it.

london rocks man!! i hope your not basing your opinion solely on brixton!!
i love london, i consider myself a londoner, i grew up in one of the suburbs of greater london. i now live 20 miles outside of london, away from the hustle and bustle. but it just down the road. i love to spend my weekends in london, it such a vibrant city. you can never be bored in london. i love nothing more than driving home from a club at 5 o'clock on a summers morning. driving down the mall and seeing buckingham palace, seeing the sights that make this country great. i wouldn't want to live anywhere else

I love London! Who was it that said, "If you're bored of London, you're bored of life"? Anyway - I love the city, and love city life, and fell in love with London while I was staying in the UK for 3 months in 1991. What I like about London is besides there being loads to do, it's so easy to get around and there's just so much history there, especially for someone like myself who comes from a place where everything is so spread out and new in comparison. There's just something about that city that feels like home to me.
My folks spent a lot of time in London - they did a 3 year stint in the early 90's, moved back to California, then went back for another 5 years, and we tried to visit them when our financial situation allowed. I brought my husband to London for the first time in 1996 and it was so cool to watch him see the city through such wide eyes like I first did in 1991. He fell in love with the place just as I did. The last time we went was in March of 2000 and we had so much fun - maybe one of these days we'll get back there.
And that's why I'm playing the lotto tonight. If I win, I'm immediately booking a flight to London! ;)
OK, I'm done gushing.

California, nice people, pretty girls, gorgeous coastline, and hey, you can go to the beach in the morning, skiing in the mountains in the afternoon, and stargazing in the desert at night.
It's not a bad place to be!
