Just listened to DJ Shadow's new album, omg, omg what happened to DJ Shadow ? Where's the man who did 6 days, building steam with a grain of salt, organ donor and mongrel meets his maker ?? This is a pop-variety-rap-crap album...

I mean I know, you're gonna say "it's just different, don't take it as a DJ Shadow album", but for me DJ Shadow = abstract hip hop... No one does music quite like him, even RJD2 who is very good too can't reach him... And what does he do ? Only featuring just like Norman, Tom, Ed, Matt (Black) and John (Moore) did... The thing is Fatboy Slim, the Chems and Coldcut really kept their own sound with more featuring than usual. Shadow did "basic" musics with singers, a thing that never happenned in any of his previous songs... I'm pissed and disapointed... I hope he'll do better next time.

Hmmm, you're not the first one who says this. Gonna see if I can find this shit on the internet somewhere.

Hey, how'd you guys hear the new album already? I've only heard the single. As a whole, I hear the new album is very different, but in a good way... I've also read several live reviews of his recent shows, and they've said that the new songs translate live extremely well. Give me some feedback! Thanks.
