Megadeth, eh?

Sounds like we have some hard workers on the forum.

I'm going to be bitching about law school and having too much to do in two and a half months. This is ironic, because right now my biggest complaint is not having enough to do.

Fuck.

Maboul: I went to see Megadeth last year!
The live gig last year was good but not as mindblowing i'd expected it to be - missed marty, dave n nick on stage.

I haven't got to hear Further the whole week, been working almost round the clock for the last 6 weeks, at least another 8 weeks to go. Can't wait for the weekend tonight so I can get back to hearing Further back to back for the next 2 days.

I experience exactly the same ! We have a lot of exhausting hard work during 3 months and a half, then, after the exams, a break which is almost 2 months long, and finally another 4 months of hard work, which are followed by the exams and the summer holidays which are 2 months and a half long...
And to make the system even worse, next year, my university sets the firt exams after the five-week winter holidays, what force us to keep on working during the holidays.
I really hate that.

Anyway, Megadeth was, indeed, great but Dave did not sing very loud ! I did almost not hear him although I was very close to him. Btw, they played the whole album "Rust In Peace".

I just found out that law school starts August 16th as opposed to August 30th. I also have to acquire thousands and thousands of dollars in loans in the next month. wewt.

The good news is that life seems to have gotten better in the last week or so. Days, maybe. But last night was definitely great--I ended up DJing an art-show party for a friend who was displaying some of her artwork to the public. Loved being able to put some things together and make a grooveable place for the space. And my most proud moment--the owner of the bar asked me to turn it up, he bought me a drink, and I got word that he wants me to DJ some other events.

YEYAH!

Absolutely beautiful weekend ending this end. Did nothing but hear a lot of Further.
I also bought a Swatch Irony again! I used to have one long back I really loved, it got stolen. Swatch discontinued it, n I could never like the new Irony models. Found a dealer just by random luck who has old stocks of the same discontinued model, at 30% discount. Absolutely stoked to get this watch back!

Ok, so I drove across town after work in heavy rain and got my lp player fixed - my ex wife had in one her fits thrown it into a wall. I hadn't bothered to get it fixed the last 2 yrs. I was really lucky, only the glass casing was broken, the pre-amp and the motor were tip top - god bless denon quality!
Got back home and heard Escape Velocity and Come with Us (my fav chems lp album - the intro has to be heard to be believed)- so long bitch, happy days are here again!

@Kosek: Jeeeeesus. That guy/girl is going to make some lucky girl very, very happy someday. Or, already has??

Summer is starting to look up in a great way. Probably a few rough spots to come, but this past weekend was fantastic.

I ended up at an underground club on a Sunday night here in SF with a bunch of friends, and danced our asses off until 2 a.m., followed by an afterparty at my house until about 4:30 a.m. or so. The pros of not having a job. ;-)

The ex-ish-girlfriend called me yesterday after not talking for a little while, and it was great to hear from her. I hate that when you don't pay attention to people it makes them pay attention to you. Such bullshit, but I endured it for a little while and it worked.

No DJ sets anytime soon, but possibly some impromptu moments for my next road trip to southern California...

Pilotwings 64 was my first videogame ever. And it's one of the best games ever ! I spent so many hundred hours on it, just flying and trying tofly as close as possible to the floor, trees, mountains... aah, nostalgia

I have fond memories of Pilotwings as well--it might be one of the first N64 games I played. Lots of fun things to try and do. But I grew up with the Super Nintendo, and my last handheld was the GBA, so my nostalgia quotient was filled.

Sadly, I will most likely not be getting at 3DS. Some of these remakes look so good!

It's good to be Mexican today!

First a win over the French!

and in a few moments, Game 7 is going to be CRAZY!

It is packed with people outside around here, you can't even get into a bar because it's over capacity. It looks like no sleep tonight if we win.

That was a great game--I saw the last half of it. Great energy.

I also was disappointed to see some of the assholes return--there were a number of people on Flower St. not letting traffic pass, taunting drivers, damaging cars, and there was one person that took a rather large beating. People are pretty lame sometimes. Or, a lot, depending on how you look at it...

Yay LAKERS! I was getting a bit worried by 3rd quarter, but I figured by the consciously bad performance (no hustle, poor offense AND defense relative to the Celtics) that the Lakers were saving their energy for a surprise final quarter. And it was AWESOME!

Last 10 minutes were absolutely fantastic. I loved how collectively they hit 3 3-pointers in a row. I don't get into sports much, so it was nice to be able to shout for my home team for once and really mean it.
