Could you rephrase the question please. It's hard to understand what you're asking. I suggest when the teacher asks you to stay after school that you study, rathen than paddling Mr. Mills.

Depends what you mean by star image... is it as basic as it sounds, or is there some convaluted definition provided by your teacher/lecturer?

Would be difficult to define target audience - similar to the other thread, CB audience, based on those on this forum, are all ages, from all walks of life, just interested in good music. Based on articles/interviews with Tom and Ed, I don't think they create with a particular target audience in mind - my take is that they just want to create innovative electronic music, play it live, and combine it with similarly innovative visuals, and they enjoy doing so.

I don't see them as being in a commercial or contractual relationship where they have to create music to a target audience prescribed by, and acceptable to, a record company with the sole purpose of generating sales and more money for "the man"... I also don't see them as concerned over fostering a "star image".

I wouldn't have thought that this answers your question, but there really is no simple or single answer - so should certainly give you a few ideas (or paths to follow - sorry about the pun) on what to discuss.

Gah, I hate thread titles like this. They're so obscure that you have to see what the thread is about.. and then you get in the thread and have to read about whatever the hell this is..

grasquire gave a good response... The Chemical Brothers are low-key and not at all what one expects from your typical rock star. There's no rock star pretensions, they don't dress up before they hit the stage, their private lives are kept private for the most part. There really is no "star image" - they are who they are, 2 people who enjoy making a living off doing something they enjoy.

These days, the chems are pop-idols. Why? Because they attract the likes of other pop idols, like Lily Allen.
