Chemical Brothers - The Boxer (DFA mix)
This song is SOOOOOOOO pimp. Unprecedented levels of funk (for a Chems track) have led me to grow a dirty blonde afro and start performing arrythmic funky white boy dance moves.
"I'm a hustler!"
.......ooh and the muted cowbell..... James Murphy you bastard! yeah.
No, I'm not drunk.

I haven't even heard the original of this, and I don't know if I want to just incase it's a dissapointment after the remix.
Is it worth buying?
Yeah 8) I'll email it to you if you like. Just send a request to my PA and she'll deal with all the arrangements.

Just finally caught this on the Beeb, and it's definetly a nice tune. I do like the original as well, but that's because I have developed a surprising tolerance of Coldplay.
Stuart Price is completely on fire at the moment. Haven't heard a poor mix in ages, if ever, from him. Hot stuff.

The Streets - When You Wasn't Famous
Wasn't much impressed at first, but by the time the chorus hit I had to admit I was well hooked. Still a little doubtful about the upcoming album, as Mike's lyrical content is what keeps me interested (I have a fixation on works, literary or otherwise, about class identity) and it remains to be seen if he can keep grounded.
Still, this is a fun and catchy tune and I'm looking forward to the rest of the album.

Metric - Poster of a Girl
Wicked tune by one of Canada's hottest up-and-coming bands. Synths, guitars, and the sexy Emily Haines on vocals, this is slinky good rock.
Picked up Metric's new album today, along with Kraftwerk's The Mix and Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante.

Led Zep - Whole Lotta Love (Hexstatic D'n'B remix)
That's soooooooooooooooooooo fucking good
Sounds interesting.
I really liked the Crystal Method remix of The Doors - Roadhouse Blues and I hear the recent trance mix of The Police - Message in a Bottle is surprisingly not horrific (I think it's by Sander van Doorn, but I can't remember).

Excellent buy! Have you heard the original versions of the tracks on here? There's always debate over which versions are better, some people say the reworks ruin the originals. Its all good imo!
My faves are the reworks of Radioactivity and the 9 minute brilliance of Trans-Europe Express/Abzug/Metal on Metal.

No, this is actually the first time I've ever heard Kraftwerk. I've always wanted to pick up some of their work, but it's hard to find here, and often expensive. I love 'The Robots' a whole lot now, though! (I wanted to get Minimum-Maximum, but it was $36 CDN)
