Well...were will i start. Will i tell you guys about my whole weekend and bore you to death ?! Or will i skip all the bullshit and get to the point.

No , i feel like typing , i'm having a Whirly moment , so i apologize in advance.



I also apologise in advance that i didnt take any pics - i have maybe 2 or 3 from the gigs - i was to busy going ape !!!! You guys can't blame me !!!!





GOD DAMMIT FUCKING BLOODY HELL THIS WAS SO AWESOME I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF ANYMORE !!!!



So - it all starts on my journey to London wich was a bit of a mission really. I dunno what's up with me and delays lately but i had a delay , and than i had to take the train into london and BLADIBLA - but FINALLY !!!! I made it to Sloane Square where i was meeting Mips. Now people - Mips is a fucking legend , i had a really really great time , and that was also because of my great host !!! - We got along really well and he's well funny X-D We got to his auntie's app - Wich is like a palace with added view of London. Better than a fancy hotel i'm telling yah. We were waiting for Mips mate's - about 8 of them i reckon , and they are all so fucking awesome! You know how you can get a bit uncomfy around new people , nah this people were wicked , really funny and sweet.



So around 9 we took 2 cabs to the Goose were we met ChemicalFan and Acidchildren. I met Acid before , but not Chemfan and i was quite looking forward to meeting him. He's a top guy , really you're so sweet !!! So , we went to Brix , we were quite late tbh , and that resulted and not being able to put our jackets in the cloackroom! We found a good spot in front of the right speaker , on the front , not to crowded.



Now - the first time i went to brixton it was different. I was really nervous - i dont know why. This time we came quite late so i had no time to feel the anticipation. I just felt like " OMG! I'M GONNA BE OWNED IN 10 MINUTES! " Hahahaha.



So , James played some wicked tunes as always. The crowd was really up for it. I was standing next to an awesome man and woman - if you read this by any change , i am the girl with the FUNK shirt on , we gave eachother a big hug when u left !!! - those guys were awesome.



Lights go off. People scream , hundreds of hands in the air , even more pupils big like saucers X-D Ah well. The blueish light comes on , with the lights that go around , and TNK start. At this point people , fucking hell. I think i screamed like a monkey. Turn of you're tought , relax , and float downstream ....It is not dying! Surrender to the vooooid. To me , this song reminds me of...well of my first gig actually. I had to think of it , when i was there in March , same venue , how much that gig meant to me.



And....TATATATAAAAAAAAA THERE THEY ARE!!!! Fucking legends :D:D:D The crowd exploded - much love for Tom and Ed !!!!!! I screamed like a whole group of monkeys this time. Honestly.



THE NEW INTRO OMGF OMFG OMFG PEOPLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so awesome , it's so...EVIL !!!!!! The big white ball like visuals they have match the sound so perfectly - it's trippy man , and god , i LOVE that new intro. I cannot explain it by words - Foxy , did u manage to get that video online ?! -



Place is already exploded and they haven't even REALLY started yet. Fuck how i love the feeling of an exploding venue. To me going to heaven must be something like this. Nothing better than sharing the same aceness with hundreds of people !!



Ps - i'm stealing Acid's setlist for this one cause my memory is terrible.



HBGH...What can i say , is there anything more to say ?! Altough i LOVE the build up in it they used to do , this new way is really fresh. It's just mindblowing to hear all this people scream on the top of their longs : HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!! God i could scream that all day man! WHAOOOO!!!!



Morning Lemon , Damn , GREAT! need i say more ?!



GYH...I LOVE the lasers that come with this one. And i really feel like getting high in the sky !!!! I just love it when that big banging beat comes in.



The BIG JUMP! THE BIG BIG JUMP! God , i knew this song was evil , but i didnt know it was so evil as it is live. It just makes you wanna jump so high , and it's so powerfull , i reckon it's better live than on the record , because it has such a full and powerfull sounds live that blows me away.



Galvanize - As i was saying to the awesome guy next to me ' THIS IS A WICKED MOMENT ' and i meant when the curtain slides open and the crowd goes INSANEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you hear the TU TU TU tutututututututututu ( You know what i mean :P:P:P ) And the build up in it.....MY FINGER IS ON THE BUTTON. TU! MY FINGER IS ON THE BUTTON TU TU! Push the button...>AND THAN! EVERYBODY GOES CRAZYYYY WHAAAAAAAAAAAH!! I do think it sounds slower than it is on the record but i'm probably wrong.



BLOCK ROCKING BEATS! After the gig the Brr brr brr brr BREAK DOWN was stuck in my head. God it's so funky !!! BEATS! BEATS! BACK WITH ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE.....!! God , it has to be said , i think this is one of their finest tunes man It will NEVER EVER get boring , cause it has so much funkyness. One of their funkiest tunes imo!



Apperently next was Three Little Birdie Down Beats. I didnt know what song it was at first - but now i know. I knew it was on EPD but i am so bad in titles :-// :-// That was wicked thought cause i didnt expect it !! Neither did Chemfan or Acid or WHO EVER !!



And than...OMFG !!! Good lord , COME WITH US - Come with us , and leave you're earth behind !!! That was something i REALLY didnt expect , so that was shocking - i went so ape! I think i must have looked psycho.



Music Respone/Under the Influence/ it Doesn't matter/ Out of Control - God those robots get me everytime. Pounding beats , i went ape , what can i say , good as always , i didnt really analize every detail so much tbh , i was to busy !!!



Man.....Star Guitar. This song gets me eveytime. It really makes me go into a trip ( I was sober people ! Hahaha ) it's just so beautifull - it's so full of love if you get my drift. The whole place is orange and yellow and pink !!



SURFACE TO AIR!!!!! God , this song means so much to me - when i heard it , i got a big lump in my trouth man. it's so amazing this song - Gotta be one of my favorite's. Jeez , ic annot even discribe how beautifull it was.



THE NEW SONG! Damn that was a suprise! It's sounds quite funky - it has like a Shake break Bounce kinda rythm to me 8O I dunno , it just has this shake yer booty feeling to it !!!!! I love it , i really thought i was cool to hear something really fresh and new.n ( FRESH! Tom's word of the year. I'm stealing it from yah for this review! )



Believe. Now my lovely forum mates....I have to say it. This is my favorite part of the set. THE BUILD UP IN BELIEVE ---> better than the best orgasm ever 8O God , it's so full , like a wall of sound and noise , and a MAD MAD MAD breakdown , when the beat comes in - i honestly loose it. Has to be said though , that i thought it was better when i saw then in Dublin and Belgium - the beat seemed to kick in harder. nevertheless , it's so.....i have no words for it !!!

Chemical Beats - FUCKING EXCELLENT ACID HOUSE !! This song , it's booming when u hear it at home , but live it's so massive , it blows u away.



And than................Lights go off. People start coming on and offstage , putting boxes , a plasma screen , a mic and stuff on stage. We were guessing " OMG! Who is it gonna be ?! The mic is quite low , maybe it's the guy from magic numbers " No it's Anne Lynne from HTL " Maybe it's Tim Burgess " But what happend didn't even cross our mind - it didn't seem realistic that something so great could happend i think X-D X-D



Tom and Ed come back on stage - Crowds explodes again. And we are thinking " Whats gonna happen ?!?! " When the music from OOT came , i still didn't realise it. Until suddenly , BERNARD FUCKING SUMNER CAME ON STAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!! God , i was thinking of all you forummers who couldn't be there - i honestly got a tear in my eye - damn i am so emotional hahahaahaha - cause it was so amazing. Bernard kicks major ass man , he's well funny and during the middle part of the song he took his guitar and played live! Jeeeez - this was amazing. Tom and Ed seemed really happy - and they should be :D



Hold Tight London - i love how they play around with this song. it atill sounds formilliar but it's like totatlly different than on the record. it's beautifull - simply beautiful !!!



And than....this was AMAZING - THE SUNSHINE UNDERGOUND!! Wicked visuals , nice work Veggie's !!! Damn , this was amazing - i didnt expect this at all....They didn't change so much to it expect it was shorter - it was more booming than on the record though.



Tom and Ed were well up for it this night !!! Well , i dont have to speak about this really - we all know that Tom talks to his machines and that Ed has some funky dancemoves X-D Gotta love 'em , Tom's face during some parts off the show is a show itself X-D I love it when people get into the music like that - i actually think i do looked like a psycho , i cannot act normal anymore when i go ape !!! And BIG UP TO ED for waving at us :D



So , this was the 9th. Now i can also describe in detail about the 10th but i will just talk about the highlights. Sneaks - it was cool to seeyah again! As i said in the other thread - sorry that i was so boring but i didnt wanna give up on my great position! I was in the middle front , and i was all alone cause the rest was all a bit in the back.



Highlight of this gigs were -

I had a really great position :D

I phoned up some mates , including Joslyn during Surface to Air ( DID U HEAR IT JOS ?! ) And Whirly and Stash during the new song so they could hear it to. Hope u guys had a good sound !!!

We had a waterfight at the front wich was well funny - i had a good laugh with one of the security guards , we rembered eachother from the March Gigs !!!



I - unlike others X-D really liked cagedbaby. I love the rock/dance kinda combo they had - it was really good imo !!



The Reel - The Reel got me man. It really got me hahaha. It was the perfect end of the end - Tradition at their last gig of the year. It was massive as always - and it brought tears to my eyes- I know i sounds like a obsesed 14 year old backstret boys fan who's crying when they sing their favorite song hahahaha X-D But it's not really like that ;) It's more that when something so awesome or beautiful or amazing is happening i get emo , it's the only way i can express myself at a moment like that X-D God i sound like a freak. But i'm not !!! I just have big emotions thats all.



And i got a wave from Ed and the thumbs up from Tom at the end of the gig. To me that is so cool - i show them my appreciation by going ape and they show some appreciation back - top guys honestly.



After this gig - it doesn't happen much - i was in a loss for words.



So people - so far about the gigs. IT WAS AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING - i am in the afterglow - and i love the chems even more than i already did. How can it be posible that a combination of rythm , melodie and sound can give u such emotions and feelings ? I dont know - What i DO know is that i love it :D:D



Well - in case u got really bored now , so far for the Chems , i'm not forcing u to read any further X-D



After the 9th gig Chemfan , Acid , Mips , his mateand me wanted to go to the Fabric - But there was a 3 hour queue so we thought fuck it basicly. After tea for the english boys and a banana milkshake , fries and steaksandiwch for me , we decided to go check out Jeff Mills in the End.Mips mate went home , and we went to The End - Great Descision !!!

Wicked club - WEIRD PEOPLE X-D so many pill - and what not - heads , so many anyoing blokes - like this dude who kept calling me his angel and desperatly wanted to get my number.



Acid and Chemfan went home , and so did Mips and I - were we witnessed the most beautiful sunrise ever.



8 am - time to go to bed. But what's that ? My phone is ringing :o WHIRLY AND STASH! Whahahahahaaha :D Thanking me for the text message i send to them about Bernard. U guys are so funny X-D and i cannot explain in words how cool it was that u guys phoned me up - i will DEF make it to cali this year , i have to meet u guys :D



So saturday we slept a bit , hung on the coach , had some food , and off we went again to Brix. We came quite early wich was good.



After , Mips , his mate Glyn went to the Fabric - i was well excited cause i heard great stories about this club. Inside i was shocked - ive never seen a place that packed and i was a bit anoyed at first by some blokes and by how crowd it was - but than we went so see Jamie Liddell and i made it all good :D I didnt know him - but basicly what he does is he like records his on beatboxing and than he makes a whole song out of it , and it's really funky , and he has an amazing voice to! That was wicked - there was also a camera man who looked so funny , who was making visiuals on stage. He had an umbrella with a camera in it , SO funny X-D



Ater this we danced a bit there and than we went to the biggest room - and this is were i thought " THIS is how clubbing should be :D" It was dark and sweaty , with awesome lasers and pounding techno music. Man , i danced my booty off !! I went on a stage kind of thing - more space - and i had a wicked vieuw of hands in the air , steamy air and lasers.

Well , we went home at around 6 and i changed my flight to a later one - i had some sort of breakdown after Fabric - i asked to much of my body. I think it's good that i just drink Red Bull and Water - just what i needed !!!



And now - i am home , writing what possibly could be the longest post in Chem Forum History X-D

And I'm glad you all got to experience Sunshine Underground because that song live is a tapestry of emotion and sound. It's good on record but live takes on a whole new dimension. It's electric and warm and it twinkles like stars in heaven but those spasms of bass are pulled from the bowels of the underworld. Just amazing thing to hear live and it's so fuckin cool Tom and Ed brought that one back for the Brixton gig for you all to hear this time around.

Jeanie: Absolutly quality review, totally captured everything on the night, I'm gonna print that later as my way of remembering the gig! It was cool to meet you too, to be honest I was slightly afraid of how mad you were gonna be (Jeanie + Chems = Oh my God!! :P ), but you just fed me some of that crazyness so we were all going nuts! There really is nowhere like the Brixton Academy for a Chems gig, I'm so glad I got to hang with all you guys, it was just amazing. I'm still feeling much love even now, 3 days later! sorry to hear bout the c u next tuesdays at the gig and what is with moshing. here in dublin hate it at the chems gigs and one of the major reasons i disliked the marlay park gig.
