Ah yes, the effervescent Maddox..... Always a pleasure, and I definetly got a chuckle or two when I read that last week. French translation is great, too. Especially in light of American Francophobia....

I still don't see the point of this thread.we suppose to list our fav tracks by chems, u2 , coldplaynand franz. wtf ??? they don't even have anything in common.

When Exit Planet Dust came out, Edge claimed it to be record of the year!!

Coincidentally enough, he said the same thing about Franz Ferdinand last year.

It's all a game of 6 degrees of seperation!

9. How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - U2 - One Step Closer

This sounds like the soundtrack of a coma.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

I love that...

Seriously, I just want Bono to drop dead so I can sell whirlygirls many, many crates of U2 crap on Ebay and buy a house.

hahaha thats classic! yeah he still has a house in kininey, just beside the train station, and the edge lives up the road in dalkey. bono's neice is nice, she is friends with my mates sisters...she has a load of free tix!!!

ah bono is ok as a bloke, the edge is lovely i talked to him and his daughter(who has lucemia now) at a wycleff jean gig in dublin, really nice bloke. the tour is very much in jeopardy though, hos daughter is really really ill....but dont tell any one i told you that!!!

Yeah, I read about Edge's daughter's ills on one of U2' fansites. It's so sad, I didn't believe it at first... I hope everything turns out all right. Lots of people pull through this sort of thing but I couldn't imagine being on the road travelling around the world knowing my kid was that sick.

I met Bono and Edge in San Diego, California during the Zoo TV days. It's a tale of persistance and pure luck that it happened. I was amazed at how short Bono and Edge were! But they were really really nice, genuinely gracious people. It was just me, a friend, and 2 other people and Bono engaged us in conversation for about 10 minutes. If I hadn't been so tired for being up 36 hours, I probably would've been a lot more giddy. But you know me, I was all cool and smooth (hehe yeahhhhh, uh huh ;) ) but being 20 years old and female... well, young girls are just silly about those sorts of things. Edge was the quieter of the two - he just stood there smiling in front of me the entire time Bono was yapping his trap at us. And he was wearing his beenie and those pants - you know the ones with all the studs on them that was in every publicity shot of U2 for Achtung Baby.

2 weeks later I met Bono again in Los Angeles (we found out where they were staying) and he recognized my friend and I. After he was done signing autographs he walked over toward us. Gawd, he smelled like a booze factory and he was all stubbly on the chin - so my friend, Little Miss outspoken and very attractive told Bono he looked like shit. And he just laughed. Then he gave us hugs. Much to the dismay of other female fans present.

Ah. Memories...

Anyway, we went walking up near Killarny, because, as you know, it was rumoured Bono had a house there, .............

.................I wasn't really sure that was Bono's house or not, until a couple years later I saw a picture of it in a magazine. Funny how stuff like that works out!

Killiney, I think.

Dull man, dull music.

I have a dull cousin who lives in the same street.
