Hi guys. Did you know that there is a survey on at the moment to find the top 100 Manchester musicians of all time at www.prideofmanchester.com? 'The Chemical Brothers' are currently 36th in the race for the top and could use a few extra votes to get them in the top 20! You can vote for your top 5 Manchester bands by visiting the site and I think you click on the music icon and follow the directions to the survey. Cool!!!! :P

They studied Medieval history in Manchester. they not from there.. But they did start music there
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

Hey hollypolly thanks for the heads up on some of my favorite music, ever.

I'd love to give the Chems the top slot but I'm gonna have to go with the Stone Roses... with the Verve and Charlatans and Smiths and New Order and James trailing very very close behind but ahead of the Chems. (All right Chem kids, go ahead and flame me) The Stone Roses were the pinnacle of the Manchester music scene, for me anyway, it was their fault I really *really* got so into the definitive sound of that time even though I was listening to a lot of other bands on that poll long before the Roses. It was the Stone Roses that opened up my ears in a big way. I kind of wonder why the Chemicals are on that poll - you can hear the influence in their music but I suppose they are proof that music can transgress these musical boundaries people peg music into.

if it manchester bands, it would have to be the Happy Mondays for me. closely followed by new order and then in no particular order, the charlatans, stone roses and inspiral carpets. they all made a great impact on me in my mid to late teens. i really don't see the Chemical Brothers as a mancherster band in a pure sence. more a city that had a great influence over a band
I'm a fuckin doughnut
