It's been almost 10 years since Fatboy Slim last did a decent production.
He's releasing an EP with Hervé : "Machines can do the work", you can hear a preview here :
http://normancook.in...-the-work-2010/

The track is banging, I love it !

And about the info that we all read three years ago, that said he was stopping Fatboy Slim :

Quote

AV: Rumour has it that you are winding down the stage name Fatboy Slim, and concentrating on other projects such as the Brighton Port Authority, is this true?

FBS: Na! You’ve got the same rumours that you keep getting on the internet and they stick, that started 3 years ago when I was doing the BPA The Sun said “Are you not going to be Fatboy Slim any more?
*just as I was about to go on stage as Fatboy Slim. I turned around to them and said that I was giving up the name Fatboy Slim and changing my name to Madonna and they printed it as if it wasn’t a joke and that rumour stuck. Since then I have played for three years all around the World.
Now I am going back to making dance music, again, just going back to what I am good at! I think the BPA was a bit ambitious for me!

Wise words. I couldn't stand him doing pop music anymore

No matter what Mr. Cook does, I hope he is happy because I think he's cool. And it seems he is happy making dance music or else he wouldn't have bothered going back to it. Whether or not he did likeable pop music or worked on a project that he felt was too ambitious, he needed to go down those roads to get back to where he feels he needs to be.

Yay Fatboy!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Nice! Glad to hear a good new track from Fatboy. I was worried about his direction in musical style (Here Lies Love), but this is a pretty pro tune.

AND THE VOCAL LOOPS ARE BACK.

The vocal part sounds Hervé, the acid line sounds 100% Fatboy Slim.

The only tracks of him with a 303 acid line were in Machines don't care, and they were co-productions with other guys :P He's more into Gliding fidget basslines
Here : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=rv_Ss8WYtns you can hear the typical Hervé synth sounds ;)
Now listen to Everybody needs a 303 (or even better : Tweaker's delight) or Acid 8000, you'll know what I mean

That's one of the only track Hervé produced that has a 303 bassline :
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=ao3w18awKo0
And it was produced with Trevor Loveys
