Just unplug that cord in the wall the nice fellow from BT installed for you, and pour a fresh pint of lager on your 'computer box'.... you know, it's the glowy thing with the retractable cup holder on the front.

My cupholder broke when I tried putting a large Slurpee in it. Now it gives a Disc Read Error. More importantly, I spilled my Slurpee on my socks.

And my computer looks silly with no cupholder.

Hey everybody!

I'm moving to Australia as an exchange student next tuesday! To a very small town called Manjimup, it's in the south west of Australia. So if there's any ppl on here that is Australian or have some Australian experience pleas come with tips, storys or whatever :).

sweet, have a great time egil!

time to throw another shrimp on the barbie! :-D

Good stuff Egil...should be a great experience

Well I've never heard of that town before (is it near perth?) but if you are coming down to the south then I'd probably go with consumer and pack a few willies as Australia is at its coldest right now. Most of us are quiet friendly and since your an exchange student everyone will probably want to know you....you might go well with the ladies ;-)

.

It's about 30 miles south from perth. I just bought a new rain secure jacket and trousers today I thought it was best since i'm going to stay in New Zeeland six months after i've stayed six months in Australia.

And Kwiddle I so envy you! Melbourne seems too be the perfect city to me, it's quite big, got nice weather, fine beaches and has got the most playing venues per capita (according to a documentery i've seen) and there's lot of great bands coming from there, like the Cat Empire for examle :D. But i guess manjmup is okay too :)

You're going to New Zealand too? OOOo, I've always imagined that to be such an incredible place just from what I've seen and heard. This Australian/New Zealand trip is going to be awesome, a trip of a lifetime!! Hopefully you'll keep in touch here and share some stories. 8)

I like that tube sign, it looks like something from V for Vendetta's advertising campaign.

My friend just moved to New Zealand and is absolutly loving it...in some places sheep beat people in population :P

Yeah Melbourne was voted most livable city in the world I think. But it isn't the best weather...sometimes during summer it can drop 15 degrees in like 10 mins without warning and in winter it's usually sunny in the morning but then it gets really couldy in the afternoon...plus we have water restrictions right now 'cos it doesn't rain that much and our water levels have dropped to less then 50% for the whole city in the past 4 years.

I hope you have a wonderful time in WA!
its a little early but thanks anyway
