I've just heard a rumour they are supposed to be playing in Bristol on the same night.
I'm a bit miffed... i don't want the Turnmills gig to suffer cos they play in Bristol, then travel up to London for 4am or something.
Surely the Chems at Turnmills for NY is always a 3 hour slot? 2 - 5 or something like that? how on Earth are they gonna do 2 x 3 hour slots in 2 cities in one night without one of the nights suffering?

Where did you hear that rumour ?
I find it hard to believe to be honest !
The Chems are on for about 3 hours usually , so i have no idea how they can do that in one night. Nah mate , i dont think its true!
Last year they started just before midnight ( And dropped surface to are at 12 !! )

If you leave the 30st from Paris Charles De Gaulle with Easyjet flight 2566 at 9.45 , and you return Jan 2 with easyjet flight 2561 at 18.55 , the flight is only ( Total cost with all the stuff with it ) 112 Euro's.
Book a cheap hostel ( There's plenty! ) and sort yourself a ticket. If you save some money maybe you can do it .... ?

112 euros + ticket to Turnmills + hotel, that's way too much for me...

Fuck, if I could do the whole trip for 300 Euros, I'd be there before you could say Peter Pan. The video game systems will be around when you get back. NYE with the Chems happens but once a year.
I'm spending about that much to go snowboarding in Minnesota between X-mas and NYE. Although there's a bit of talk of making it out to the mountains but that will bump the costs up enough that it pushes me into serious "fuck it, let's take out a loan and do London again" thought-territory. 8O

Ben_j, if you don't go you are a poopie head. Seriously man, what Darkstar said. NYE with the Chems happens only once per year. Who knows what next year will bring? The opportunity is ripe. The novelty of the Wii will wear off the same way the Gameboy Advance did... but memories of a fine New Year's Eve can last a lifetime. I beg you to reconsider. Do it for mamma whirly.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I'm not rich, I'm a simple student (and Nintendo-fan) :(
So I'll just see how much I get for my birthday... Then I'll consider going to Turnmills :D
