Industrial Ambient... maybe something like the early Delerium albums... long before Karma and Semantic Spaces. Very dark but still ambient.

It would be interesting, but the best ambient is the FSOL's Lifeforms.

Boards of Canada is also very, very good. Its good because it doesent fall under a certain genre. Its techno, but not quite...

The Shamen - Arbor Bona Arbor Mala is damn hard to listen to, but it's worth it.

Then you will need to buy the 2CD with both Axis Mutatis and Arbor Bona Arbor Mala. ABAM is the ambient twin of the later released Axis Mutatis, and if you listen close enough, you will spot some of the tracks that later became remixed for Axis.

I think it's a brilliant album, but no easy listening.

Hmmm... hard to tell. The problem with the albums is that not all of them got the radio edits you might know (most of them done by the Beatmasters). Easiest way to get around that would be buying the Collection that has all the radio edits for every song that went huge, from Omega Amigo to Indica.

If you can't find the Collection anywhere, I would recommend Axis Mutatis to you, for it is a really great album.

Those tracks are mixed into each other. It's some sort of DJ set by Richard West from the Shamen.

In the UK, you can get both the Collection and Stars On 25 together as 2CD issue. That would be the best to look for.
