Secret Machines? Never heard of them untill about a week ago when a member of the mailing list posted an article in the chemical sets saying they will be supporting the Chems on their uk tour with Dj James Holroyd.
I Bought their album of Alice in chains meets pink Floyd with a sprinkle of the verve inspired 9 track LP, and was blown away!
It was released in July! God how did they keep this band a secret? A re-release will surely be on the cards in 05!
Check them out, good choice by the chems! Hope they are going to wolves again as so am i!!
Q gave it four stars, i give it 5! Its that good.
Only 9 tracks but over an hour long.

All right, just listened to 30 second soundbites from Now Here Is Nowhere and I'm really digging what I heard so far. Know of any place that streams their music (kind of like with Kasabian) so I can listen beforehand? It all sounds so intriguing, really heavy on the atmosphere.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

My life is a boat, being blown by you. With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... To me you're like a setting sun. You rise then you're gone.

unbelievable. are the secret machines that unknown in england? they are quite popular here in germany, with songs on music mags promotional CDs and excellent reviews. i wish i could see them supporting the chems but for germany, there's still no support confirmed, only james holroyd again.
btw, when raveline mag wrote about last cologne concert of tom and ed they wrote some shit about holroyd: "awful local dj who opened for the brothers". that one was james holroyd! take that, raveline-suckers
