No, i've read it on a german newspaper site and they quote some parts of the dailymail interview so i'v decided to post the source of it all.

Sounds like a good excuse, or another Daily Mail non-story. I'd thought 2012 was already pencilled in as one of the "fallow" years, when the Eavis's let the fields have a rest and recover, and give the locals a break. 2006 was the last one of these.

Roses are red

No, because of the Police issue. It's just that the portaloo makes for a more appealing headline.

It's probably a combination of things...? I read that 2011 was supposed to be a fallow year, but 2012 was decided instead because it made more sense considering resources would be more in-demand and costly because of the 2012 Olympics.

BTW That's a really gross picture, inchem! Blech!
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

Yep I think this is pretty much what is going on, the last time they gave the land a chance to recover was 2006 so 2012 is nothing unusual in the pattern of every 5 or 6 years.

I think it's done them more harm than good really using the Olympics as an excuse, they could of just said that this was the next year as a chosen time to recover. One thing that hasn't been mentioned as well is that alot of people who would usually go to Glastonbury may choose to attend the Olympics instead so maybe their also worried about ticket sales for 2012? Maybe only as a secondary factor though.

But again I don't think they should of said anything, it makes them sound abit lame tbh!
