I really liked the interviews! I enjoyed listening to other people describe what their music meant to them, how it influenced them and the music scene, what it's like to be at their gigs, what the Chems are like as people, etc. I especially enjoyed what Fatboy Slim had to say, he seems to very much respect his friends. And Beth Orton seems so sweet, what a doll!

I wonder if Noel Gallagher was really that put off by not being in the Setting Sun video. I did like the bit where he said he played Private Psychadelic Reel for his friends and it freaked them out!

I think one of the reasons the chems were barly able to use him was his record company didn't wan't his name to be mentioned on the single or seen in the vid

Hmm Biff you may be right about that. I've heard some artists have trouble working with other artists due to record label red tape so I guess the same might apply to videos.

From the interview bit through, Noel said he'd "never forgive them for that" in regards to him being in the viddy. And he sounded so grave too, but it was probably tongue in cheek!

I remember reading a while ago about how Oasis wanted the Chems to remix their cover of Helter Skelter - but they refused, saying that Helter Skelter had bad vibes associated with it, so.... no remix. Apparently that pissed Oasis right off but I wonder how much of that was Liam. ;)

I could go out of my way and start a topic, "Why I hate oasis" but i understand how annoying it is to have topic after topic of incoherent death threats and homophobic remarks bands the chems work with.. Also keep in mind I didn't watch the singles video yet so I haven't heard what Noel said. But bios and articles I have at hand state this stuff: Noel, on several accounts, has called dance music "just a load of bleeps." - that was before setting sun. A biography says," ...Oasis had invited the pair to spin at their after show party at their breakthrough Sheffield Arena show the year before - only to see Liam Gallagher yank them off the decks after less than half an hour, redemanding 'something different...Chuck Berry or something.'" Also Oasis also wanted the chems to remix wonderwall in addition to the beatles cover (face it that's a bad song for remixing). And last with the words in front of me it said: Creation (Oasis' label) fought for the rights to setting sun. When they settled (and i quote) "Noel wouldn't be allowed to promote the single, nor even appear in the video" I don't think Noel is too bad, he's a better singer than liam. Anyone who saw that concert where Noel filled in for the bitch liam knows that his vocal skills are great.

I think they will release this interview on cd. It sounds like the interview cds I have; Tom and Ed are talking, then there is a moment of silence. The silence is the bit where you look at the next question!
