I think i he meant that it's stupid to buy mp3's. The thing that makes buying a record more worth then downloading it (exept the credits to the artist) is the quality, album cover etc. That's my opinion anyways...
Exactly what i meant. Notice i chose the word mp3 instead of music. Also there was a bit of sarcasm in there. Really, im not a total pirate, i just use piracy to expand my musical tastes. If i really like an artist or a cd, ill usually try to but it. Remember people, im 14, i dont have a job, therefore not much money to buy music with on my own. Also, ive never pirated anything of the chems, other than a few rare b-sides and live sets otherwise unavailable for purchase, and im still even trying to get the singles the b-sides are on.

I used brassic beats today, cost me 9 for 20 quality tracks, bargin i think, and all for the comfort of my bed room. I can see why people download for free, but paying for it means you can get good tunes early before cd release and not having to worry bout crappy quality.
Open directory
Quick, safe and mostly good quality.

Exactly. I said this many times before, but to me having an album is so much more fun than just the mp3...i mean , it's the whole package you know , togheter with the artwork and stuff , and it just looks cool in your living room !! Plus , if i like an artist , i will support it. Offcourse , when i'm broke , i download aswell , but i'll always buy the album aterwards if i like it and when i'm not broke.

W3rd. Somehow having the package in my hands, with amazing art and the thank you notes and production details (it's cool knowing who engineered what songs... okay, maybe not cool, but....) is what MAKES the solitary music listening experience. Ultimately the music is what is important, but having it in the proper context (whether that is with proper packaging etc. or in a club with a caning crowd) is crucial.

I agree... if you want to spend money in music, buy the album. I would never buy an mp3.
What if it was a chemical brothers release and it was only available to buy, you couldn't get it anywhere else?
Wouldn't buy it anyway. It would probably appear on CD, eventually.

On a side note, Kraftwerk is releasing (or maybe they already have, I don't know for sure) a special German edition of Minimum Maximum only avaiable for mp3 downloading - ipod I think.
