Played on the Annie Mac show. Starts at 1hr 06 mins - use the listen again feature and see the tracks at the following page. It's classic Switch like the GYH and jaxx remixes they've done. 8)

...and so is this one, to be honest :? Quite ok, but sounds quite uninspired. Nothing beats the original!

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan either. I don't usually like remixes where they just change the backing and keep the whole song structure and lyrics the same. Sure they sped it up, but still, it's boring - same song, different beat, none of the cool chems sounds or fx...

yes that was a bad moment to be a chemical brothers fan at the moment. in fact, i don't want this remix to be released anywhere. fortunately, it does not appear on any tracklistings for galvanize so far so it only might be on an american release. have to say that switches remixes for GYH weren't really high as well. there are so many excellent remixers out there - why switch again??? :(
love is all.

I think it's the record companies decision, I reckon the Chems don't get a say and the remixes are chosen by whose hot in some boards eye's. Apparently, Switch is the man of the moment

It can't be totally them though, what if they wanted someone totally kick-ass (hmm, can't think of anyone right now ), but it would cost 1 million to get them to do it? The record company would say no. I reckon the purse-strings at Virgin are pretty tight, even if the Chems do get to choose their remixers. They pick 'the best of the rest', if you will.

I'll remix it for FREE Virgin!!! That's free!

0!!!!

This is quite interesting, I think they do get to choose but also they should choose a wide range of people/variety of styles. Maybe this is switch's own white label? I have always been intriuged by the workings of the industry - one big question I have is why did the chems set up their own label to release their work - more creative freedom?

I agree - I really like the 'cut-up' sound that Switch are doing and it's really catchy, but on another listen I also agree how this galvanize mix isn't as good as there previous work.

from what i read was that after the sucess of there inital jbo releases the chems were offered there own mini label entitled freestyle dust. this sort of deal use to be quite common however recently the labels are against these sort of deals as they have to pay the artist more royalties etc. the chems have major control over all aspects o ftheir releases.incl remixers

i totally agree with sneaker. virgin might be mighty but i really don't think that they choose the remixers. btw, who is switch??? absolutely no-name in germany. maybe a mylo remix would be good, what do u think? or a remix by FC/KAHUNA!!!!
love is all.

switch are a london bases duo, producers, remixes and djs.

now an fc kahuna remix would be something!!!!!! dunno about mylo. there something wrong about getting remixes by the people of the moment. its more a cool thing to do to sell records rather than based on who would be good to do a remix
