0.o Oh neat! ED posted! I'm so happy, I havn't heard from him since before I even joined this board, I think. After making my way through 5 other bands, I'm so ready to obsess over another chemical album. I hope my haiatus from the chemicals songs might freshen them up for another long haul to audio bliss.

I wonder what direction the new studio stuff will go in, its no unpredicatable with the chems, such a vast range of styles!

I was thinking the other day bout what Ed said and its 100% true about there being nothing better than going to a hot gig venue and seeing my fave band play. If there were a dvd then my first chems show wouldnt of been as good as I would not what to expect. The live shows are amazing and the way it takes you to another level could never be captured fully on a dvd.

Hmm. I still think a live dvd would be really cool, maybe sometime in the future. And when that time comes, we know it's gonna rock!! But we'll just have to wait and be patient. I think I can do that! ;) What we've got now with the dvd we have can tide us over, I think.,

I totally see what you're saying, Acidchildren, and on a level I agree. I can see Ed's point saying that filming a concert is intrusive and can take away from the intimacy that a concert provides. I mean, if I were up there on stage and had cameras on me from every angle, I'd feel a bit nerve wracked "oh shit, my every move is being recorded and the whole world is going to see this!" and it might make it more difficult to focus on delivering a fantastic show. Nothing can beat the real deal, it's true watching something on your television pales comparison to the raw energy of actually being there.

But... I don't think for a minute robot.mx, who has seen those live snippets on the dvd before he witnessed the Chems in concert, had his experience spoiled. Or Darkstarexodus, or Electronic Battle Warrior or anyone else who's seen them for the first time this tour.

Anyway, I'm sure every single person here would jump at the opportunity to see the Chems over watching a dvd any old day of the week. But not everyone has that opportunity for one reason or another. I don't know, I just hate for anyone to miss out... :( Because I think the Chems are that incredible live, even if the television is as close as some people are able to get to that experience. It would be nice if one day in the future, the people who couldn't make it to the shows could get a taste of something that a few of us lucky people have been able to experience first hand. It might even win over a convert or two.

Yeah I agree with this. I saw them for the first time on the PTB tour last february, a long time after the DVD was released. When I watched that dvd for the first time, and saw the live footage of Star Guitar, I told myself: "Wow. I so want to live this. I want to be right there, and I know I will be!". Almost 2 years later, I nearly passed out when I heard the three introductory beats to Hey Boy Hey Girl at the Paris gig, it felt so awesome. I can't even explain how I felt when I saw the first Temptation visuals appear on the giant screens. I was like, "This is it, man. Here you are." This track is not even my favourite, but this was the most emotionaly intense moment of the show for me. I felt countless chills along my back, my arms, inside my head, the time seemed to have stopped only for me. And I wasn't on drugs. My hands shake a bit as I type this!

I like the way Ed's comment doesn't necessarily rule out a live cd...
