Hmm. I still think a live dvd would be really cool, maybe sometime in the future. And when that time comes, we know it's gonna rock!! But we'll just have to wait and be patient. I think I can do that! ;) What we've got now with the dvd we have can tide us over, I think.,
I totally see what you're saying, Acidchildren, and on a level I agree. I can see Ed's point saying that filming a concert is intrusive and can take away from the intimacy that a concert provides. I mean, if I were up there on stage and had cameras on me from every angle, I'd feel a bit nerve wracked "oh shit, my every move is being recorded and the whole world is going to see this!" and it might make it more difficult to focus on delivering a fantastic show. Nothing can beat the real deal, it's true watching something on your television pales comparison to the raw energy of actually being there.
But... I don't think for a minute robot.mx, who has seen those live snippets on the dvd before he witnessed the Chems in concert, had his experience spoiled. Or Darkstarexodus, or Electronic Battle Warrior or anyone else who's seen them for the first time this tour.
Anyway, I'm sure every single person here would jump at the opportunity to see the Chems over watching a dvd any old day of the week. But not everyone has that opportunity for one reason or another. I don't know, I just hate for anyone to miss out... :( Because I think the Chems are that incredible live, even if the television is as close as some people are able to get to that experience. It would be nice if one day in the future, the people who couldn't make it to the shows could get a taste of something that a few of us lucky people have been able to experience first hand. It might even win over a convert or two.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
