Just one word: kewl!

I especially like the break. Ah, and the bassline at the beginning is ace.

E(argasm) = m(usic) x c(hemicals)²

^^^^ damn it, i was hoping no one would pick up on it, i like to think that the resemblance fades fairly quickly.

i think i only have like 5 days to finish this thing, and it sounds pretty shit at the mo. needs a good mixing.

thanks for the nice words, any constructive critisism?

peace

Yeah don't worry the resemblance goes away quickly. I really like it ! What did you use for the vocoded voice ?

w00t.

You get two awesome thumbs. You should make an extended mix where you bring back that really awesome distorted synth line you have going at the end into the chorus you have going.

Seriously, that was great--keep us informed of your progress. :)

That distortion stuff is wicked.

Good work man. Quite impressed.

Oh prob everybody will disagree , but i think instead of that break beat you should use a sick pounding phat techno beat.. to make it really evil with that distorted sound!

But yeah thumbs up mate!

Very nice indeed. Some great ideas in this.

A few things:

- Beat needs a warmer sound

- Second half is a bit (too) busy: needs eq'ing

- Ending still needs work

What kind of vocoder did you use for this piece?

Man, I just downloaded this and I really, really like it. Could be a contender. Better than many of the commercial remixes of Chems tracks I've heard lately.

I agree with Jeanie in part--I say bring in a house beat when the chorus echoes all nicely.

In fact, it could just be really deep house at the end... damn.

Fucking amazing dood.

Wow, downloaded 58 times. Nice!!

I'm listening now. So far so good, Mr. Badgelot. It's very funky and fun - you did a fantastic job with this!

That was awesome!

A also must agree that a phat techno beat would work really well with this song... maybe you could do something like Base 6 and use both beats.

The only other problem that I felt off is when you start tweaking things alot, the audio levels or something sound off. BTW, reminds me of the Micronaut remix of BRB a little--me like!

yeah, its a piece of shit mix-wise.

as for the house beat, i totally appreciate your ideas, but i deliberately stayed away from the idea even thought it seemed sooooo obvious that it was crying out for it. me and james are more into making the listener hear what is about to happen, and then fucking that idea right off. but mainly the beat is chemical brothers inspired... like just post dig your own hole era, but not quite surrender era.

the kind of beat you would have heard the chems use in their remixes back in those days.

thanks so much for your feedback. it makes me feel good. :)

now i gotta finish the stupid thing.

as for vocoder, whilst we use a heap of external stuff, the main mix ends up in plain old FL Studio, and i used the vocoder provided with FL.

(FL is under-rated)

thanks again

The beat really could have a bass-ier kick to it... possibly aided by a generated one? I guess I really wouldn't judge the beat until the song gets a good mixing.

Otherwise, this is great, I think it could definitely win on the competition.
