The Crystal Method is pretty good, although their DJing is... meh.

That festival looks like it's chock full of corporate goodness.

Summerfest better get some variety listed on their site pronto. God help The Crystal Method, they will be sticking out like sore thumbs at that show.

A bit of a sad and lackluster line up. Tom Petty raises some eyebrows here. Tim McGraw? Jonas Brothers? Rush? I'd rather listen to my son's 4th grade teacher scrape her nails across a chalkboard for 10 straight days than have to be subjected to 10 straight minutes of Rush. Honestly.

I don't mean to bitch like I'm on the rag or anything, but I hope for the good of mankind's sake, Summerfest beefs up their line up with more acts like Crystal Method. Just for the sake of some variety.

Ouch. Whirly dishes out some venom.

Yeah, my first thought when I saw the headliners was, "Wow! Another reason not to go to Wisconsin."

I'll say it a thousand times more: Fucking Americans and their lame taste in music.

I find it weird that this is the second festival that I see Tom petty and Crystal method both playing. THe other is the oe I'm considering going to just outside Whistler.

I want to see the Tragically Hip, and MSTRKRFT, and Flaming lips, and Secret machines, and NERD, and DJ Shadow, and thats about it.

Still a debate between Pemberton and my big one.....Fuji rock. I'm saving money to go back.

Hehe, good ole Summerfest. I've never been to it, for mostly obvious reasons...

They did have Roger Waters last year, but you had to pay big bucks to see him. Its the same for the headlining acts (Tom Petty) this year. Otherwise, its like what Mikey said, $15 admittance each day to this big barbeque music festival held on the shore of Lake Michigan, spanning over 1.5 weeks.

From what I heard, It's not a bad festival, but the music acts are nothing to get excited over (obviously). The festival is catered so that its family friendly, like a giant block party.

Dont hate on Wisconsin though, I love that place :(

P.S. I think Moby was the biggest electronic act to ever play Summerfest, but that was awhile back...

Lol yeah...wisconsin does suck, sorry bosco. Every once in a while there will be a good pys trance fest or party around...but it does suck for the most part.

And summerfest, yeah the line up is looking pretty sad so far...ive never been to it, but will probably go see crystal method dj...never heard their dj sets, probably all breakz, which cant complain. Hopefully one other band i like signs up then ill go for sure

Lollapalooza's lineup is lookin good so far...im hoping for a decent electronic act besides "Does it offend you, yeah" I cant really decide if i like those guys yet.

Well for $15 and some BBQ by the lake, it might be worth it to go just to Summerfest and see The Crystal Method do a dj set.

I wouldnt count on Lollapalooza bringing much electronic music to the festival. I think Daft Punk was kind of a 1 time thing, for last year. But who knows... The official lineup will be out on Monday. I hope for the best!

I bet $10,000 on Jack Johnson being a headliner.

And Bosco, just for you, I won't hate on Wisconsin. Love the cheese.

Pooter: I know. We suck. And when I say we, I mean them. While I'm one of them. HELP ME!

I had a chance to go see TCM in Sacramento, but the canceled and went straight on through to San Fran. If this wasn't so far, I'd go just so I can say I've seen 'em live. Then again, I am traveling half way around the world to see Tom and Ed rock some serious hardcore beats. Tsk tsk, now you know what MY priorities are...

Not too true bosco. I saw Thievery Corp, Particle, and Disco Biscuits year before last. And STS9 were there last year. We were blessed to get Daft Punk. As far as a stricly electronic act....we shall see.
