i think by no colabs they mean no (song) featuring (blah blah)
Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

Not true actually. They changed it round about 2004 and added that excelent tinkly bit that sits on top of the main bass line. One of my fav live Chems moments is when that kicks in infact. Personally I hope they never remove it from the live set but anyway....
ps They also did the fantastic Don't Fight/Control mix on the last tour...so not at all the same for the last 10 years.

I loved the show, I liked how they did Further in full (well, full enough for me), that's what I came to see and hear and I was not disappointed. I'm still not familiar with most of the tracks and most of them I've never heard or know the names yet so I've no idea whether they were shorter than the album version or as in other live shows. Something I've no regrets about either.
Highlights for me were Escape Velocity, Horse Power, Swoon, Saturate, Believe and Chemical Beats. The Escape Velocity video didn't impress me much at first but it works really well on the massive (and almost transparent) screen, loved the big face twisting and turning between the dancing figures. Really really dug Horse Power, one of those I'd never heard, evil evil sound, absolutely rocked! I've loved Swoon since I first heard it, this is very beautiful track, very emotional and stirring and probably other words I can't think of right now. The album as a whole sounds simple but complex at the same time and for me definitely requires erm, further listening. As Ben_J put it there are many subtleties.
Saturate awesome as ever, those paintballs almost explode in your face! Believe build up (in the middle) as epic and mind-blowing as ever, real hands in the air stuff. I actually really liked the steam coming from the ceiling during Chemical Beats, thought it just added to the utter mayhem of the track, probably the best "showing" of CB I've ever seen.
Really good crowd as well, I think the fact the album was played in full made it better as I suppose it kept the people away who just came to see a big name play one of their best known hits rather than people who genuinely appreciate the Chems music and want to see which direction they're going in next! That probably makes me sound pompous now lol. I suppose if last night created a few more Chems fans then all the better.
Great to meet some board members I've not met before and friends, just travelled from the Big Smoke up to York on the train with Surface_2_air, cool guy if not the most responsible trampoline user! Nice to meet S2A's friend Nick also, a South African contingent in a seemingly cosmopolitan crowd! Nice also to meet Ben_J and friend and Bouh and gf, unfortunately the mc marsh language barrier struck again (especially with Bouh I think)....or maybe it was just that vodka....
And what a fantastic place Camden Town was! The Roundhouse is a top venue, inside a bit like the Leeds o2 Academy...but round. I suspect the size of the venue made the screen look bigger than it actually was but there was the surrounding "panels" on either side which I haven't seen before but worked really well.

(Not aimed at anyone on here but)
And this just goes to show that they are fully in control of the Live show and not just "pressing play", i.e. PLAYING LIVE! How dare that Observer/Independent review question "How much of it is actually live". . The music stopped when they were interrupted on stage, case closed!
PS had to watch this vid and this vid only as it was very intriguing to see what this idiot got up to crashing the stage.

When I watch the videos on Youtube, I'm not even sure they had the 777 on stage. I think a second Machinedrum took its place. But it's weird because I'm sure I hear the 777 sound during Horse Power.

Me too! You can see Ed doin it in this video below. But that would mean that 777 changed its place.
Used to be in the back.
Now you reminded me how much I loved live version of Do It Again
Especially when Ed kept rockin the 777 trough Get Yourself High
