I'm still looking out for this hypothetical tune I came up with as an idea in an earlier thread:

Darkstarexodus Escribi:

I'm sticking with my guns and saying an eight minute extended acid-shoegaze-anti-corporate-manifesto wall of sound featuring Bobby Gillespie and Kevin Shields would induce instant pantal creamification. Think EBW 7, but bigger, and better. Featuring remixes by Futureshock, King Unique and Underworld.

and a mega-remix by Daft Punk with just a squeezy sound added to the track

Daft Punk should concentrate on making their own tunes sound better especially after "Human After All", rather then trying to tweek somebody elses tunes.

Im not saying "Human After All" was completly terrible because there was deffinately alot of potential in alot of those tracks on that album. I feel if they gave it a little more time and used a little more creativity it could have been a great album. And how about a tour for god sakes! what are u french blokes afraid to leave the country or something?

getting back on topic....

i really dont care what we get from the brothers... as it will always be quallity

X-D Thats so like Daft Punk! Why, I think you just discovered how to make a remix Daft Punk style!

8O EBW8 has already been heard in early form!? What does it sound like!? tell all! (please)

Daft Punk made good remixes though, like Life is Sweet for example (Triple Post powa !!)

---Yeah, some of them are pretty good, I'm just being silly.

----I thought the 'animal song' might be considered EBW8, though its still specualtion, right?

-----You know, I like the idea of Daft Punk doing a tour, I'm all for that. I just started to listen to Alive '97 and I have so much more apreciation for it now. I still say that the first 15 minutes are the best, but I really like the rest now also, don't know what was wrong with me when I first got it. I think its sorta like TPPR and me at first :x

I don't fuckin know why they don't want to make a tour. I just think they both became very lazy...

Anyway, do you think the Chems could become lazy like that and make a minimalist album ? ( but we all know they can't ;) )

Well its been a very hectic year. I doubt they have had much of a break between making the album, releaseing it and touring. They deserve a well earned break this year I feel. Maybe there will be a few dj dates here and there and the release of ebw8.

Robot Rock and HAA are good but other than that the album is pretty much bogus.

all the tunes from the last 2 albums (the most recent one especially) have been direct rips of old disco tunes. in fact, theyre such a rip off i would go as far as to call them cover versions.

not house!!

I still like Discovery, mostly because it's Disco Very. :D A fun album that manages to be classic, but not genius.
