I indeed experienced a small chemiracle of my own that I wanted to share.
Like consumer mentioned, they blocked access to the Boiler Room when the freestylers were on between 7-8pm. So it was either watching that on the big screen outside, or going down to hear Beastie Boys in the Blue Stage of which I'm a huge fan (thou not *quite* as much as Chem Bros).
So we headed down to the Oval and caught the last part of System of a Down's set... when that was over and the crowd surged right to the Orange Stage where Powderfinger were about to begin, me and my mate pushed thru to the front of the stage... sweet only gotta wait 45mins to be at the front of the B Boys concert!
Beastie Boys did a sweet set and althou they fooled around a bit and wasted time jamming when they could've been playing favourites, I was still happy nonetheless.
When the B Boys finished at 10 we considered trying to get into the Boiler Room but knew it would be a lost cause... nevertheless we had to try. The main entrance to the area outside the Boiler Room was closed off with a big cyclone fence... no chance of getting in... we tried a second entrance thru an underpass... no luck it was cut off too.
So as a final ditch effort we went around the far west side and to our delight they were letting people in one at a time thru a narrow entrance! We pushed thru and got to the end of a big crowd and finally got inside the area outside the boiler room and could see the Chems in the screen!
We'd come that far surely we could at least try to get into the Boiler Room (which was packed out with Basement Jaxx last year)... suprisingly there was a crowd at the entrance and people were slowly getting thru!
So we finally made it into the boiler room! The best part is to come thou.... We danced our way thru the crowd which wasn't too tight, everyone dancing, having a good time... by now we were 1/2way towards the front.. i couldn't believe it!
Then a dude and his chick started pushing thru the crowd and as we follwed them thru, managed to make our way 3/4 of the way thru the crowd! Bit by bit we nudged our way thru the swarming mob and by the end we were a few people from the front and within spitting distance of Tom & Ed with 1/2hr to spare...
We enjoyed the end of their set... if only they could've played a side show at Metro's or something... its so hard to make a call when the two biggest acts are playing at the same time!
It was sooo good to see the aural and visual feast (and feats?) that the Bros served up! job well done boys...
even got some photos to prove it!

Nice review, what a great experience!! Now all this talk about gigs is making me very excited to see the Chems when they come to Coachella. It's all good, stuff like this is what makes this forum great. And for you, this show must've been the stuff of dreams.
Please share your photos. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we can't get enough of 'em!
