I thought I would post the text from Astralwerks latest newsletter:

"We had The Chemical Brothers in town this week for advance press and the reaction has been just incredible. Those that have heard the new album agree - it's their best yet. For now you can get the first single, "Galvanize," online at your favorite Digital Service Provider. The track is already tearing up dancefloors and airwaves worldwide. It's just the first salvo from an album that delivers from start to finish....

..."Galvanize," the new track from pioneers The Chemical Brothers, was released exclusively last week, and was the most downloaded track on iTunes Electronic genre hub in just the first week! The track, featuring Q-tip on vocals, is the first single from the upcoming album, 'Push The Button.'

Radio stations across the country are embracing "Galvanize," as our friends at KROQ Los Angeles and Live 105 in San Francisco have been treating their listeners to the exciting return of The Chemical Brothers. Call your favorite station and demand your Chemical Brothers.

Get ready for the premiere of the amazing new video for "Galvanize" in this space soon!

'Push the Button' will change the way you listen to music on January 25th! That's The Chemical Brothers in 2005: still bringing you the good stuff, and the new stuff, ahead of the pack. Defying expectations and reinvigorating music are what the brothers do best - and this album proves it yet again.

Stay tuned for a newly revamped and exciting new Chemical Brothers website coming very soon!"

I'm not sure if the website refers to the official site or an astralwerks micro-site but it's cool none the less! 8) 8)

Print-based promotions company Don?t Panic, which has been operating for five years, believes advertisers are catching on to poster-packing as the answer.

The company has created a campaign for this New Year?s Eve, with an A2 poster featuring artwork from the forthcoming Chemical Brothers album, Push the Button. The poster packs are to be given out at specifically targeted hotspots on NYE, including Turnmills, where the Chemical Brothers will be DJing.

Wade said the poster packs, which incorporate ethical messages such as ?Stop the War?, are also available across the capital in selected shops, universities, bars, cinemas and art spaces.

Sounds cool! UK people keep your eyes peeled for these packs and get one for me, please. :D

Gotta love the company name "Don't Panic"!

I'd be interested in somehow obtaining one of these poster packs. It's just a matter of going about it...

I was wondering, this album/new material seems to be more 'charged-up' particularly politically/emotionally, considering some of the lyrics/song titles:

'galvanize' - 'world the time has come/don't hold back/push the button', 'rize up', believe ('I gotta believe'), the boxer (reference to fighting?), 'left right' (marching?). 8O

These ones look great on the paper (or screen, whatever), but...i hope, really really hope that none of these tracks sound...commercial, nah'mean?...q-tip is good, but not in my collection...bloc party...well...give'em a chance...anwar...not so bad...tim b, definitely the best brit-pop-traditional-collaboration...i hope this album is not made for the US mentality, and, personally, i'm a li'l bit pissed off with the chems (remember the mexican gigs?) and if they release a magnificient album, i'm gonna feel like they were saying to me, on my speakers "we're sorry". CHIM CHIM!

alucard, your frustration is understood, what happened was shitty. But the Chemical Brothers were left unpromoted for the Mexican gigs. Someone wasn't doing their job properply and it wasn't the Chems. What happened was beyond their control, and it was enough to warrant an apology from Ed in this forum.

If you're gonna blame someone, blame the people that dropped the ball, not the Chems.

Well there was this big burrito, and it came to the festival and trampled over the fahitas and tacos. Jalapenos were running left right and center for their lives, the chemical brothers had to leave because they would be made into refried beans.

So they had to Exit Planet Del Taco before they had to Surrender to the lil peppers who said "Come with Us, amigos... or you will have to Dig Your Own Hole"?

I remember that now.
