All I wanna say is who the hell needs any kind of artificial or natural mental/physical stimulant, aka drugs, when you got the chemical brothers and there crazy visual displays live and in front of you.
They were awesome, and big up that clown aswell, wouldn't you just love it if he was actually your dad.
:P

I see what you're saying, but I think it actually makes the performance even more amazing, it hits certain emotions that you don't have when 100% sober.

As long as everyone's enjoying the music and what else the concert atmosphere has to offer, and they can walk away saying "I had a great night" then it's all good. Different strokes for different folks.

I definately agree with the statement 'different strokes for different folks'. I myself would not like to get fucked up at a gig, specially one at glastonbury. The thought of loosing control of myself amongst all those people/strangers isn't my idea of fun. I hope Im not sounding like a boring twat or anything, anyway i was loosing control of myself at the chems, but in a fuckin good way. Its great to be able to remember the experience at the end of the day, and hopefully many more days to come.
But I guess its up to you what you wanna do to with yourself, and if you think drugs/booze will make that experience that much better, then go for it. Just don't go whining about the fact that you can't remember a sodding thing the next day! To me thats a waste of a fucking good gig, and 112.
anyway im gonna stop rambling on.

There are people who do go over the top at Glasto, like this one bloke standing next to me at the Paul McCartney gig. It was before he started playing, and this guy just collapsed to the floor, people were trying to help him up, I just ignored it and pretend I didn't see. They managed to get him back up, I looked at him, I saw his eyes roll into the back of his head and then he puked, I heard it hit the floor. The crowd just threw him into the crowd and told him to find a doctor.
I think I trod in the sick, but it was mixed in with loads of mud, so I didn't smell it.

mmmm nice. Good thing for the mud and relatively cool weather, or it could have been alot worse. Although I have to say, this was my second year at glasto, and I know it aint too many visits, but I didnt see anyone puke once. Which is quite surprising. I think you just get used to the sight of pissed people after a few days tho. It begins to loose its funniness and novelty quite rapidly. Although there was one pissed bloke (when they showed the england match) who (all by himself) tried to start a mexican wave. It was a funny moment, one person trying to start a 60,000 person mexican wave, and he was in the middle of the crowd too. Another highlight of the festival.
X-D hahah i can make a mexican wave with one finger of my hand
coz i have the mexican power on my blood X-D
actually i make one here in this stadium
