Best Buy had PTB and WATN for $18.99 when they came out, so i'd imagine the same price for Brotherhood. But wait! It's a double disc. Hmmm, well I guess it honestly doesn't matter what the price is, as long as I get it.

Looks pricey on HMV £15.99. What is this, 1999?

They need to re-master Chemical Beats!

By far my favourite chems track but it definately needs a lift now on the beats, or at least but the original 12" version on there with the original intro.

Also ive seen some examples of the artwork for Brotherhood by Kate Gibb and as usual they're gorgeous!

I think if they deleted their whole catalogue and just left EBW10 I'd be happy. I might change my mind in a week, but that's how I feel right now.

^^

I would be... unhappy.

EBW10 is great, but it doesn't come anywhere near replacing the entirety of the Chemical Brothers entire body of music.

chemicalreaction, you can shut up. There's nothing wrong with not liking everything that Tom and Ed do.

I was caught in the moment Madpooter, I was listening to it at the time of my post and was all emotional. Let us pretend I never said it.

Yeah ChemicalReaction, shut up! fanboy alert!

Hello to you all, I’m kind of new to this forum, but Like others I’ve known about it for years, but have been shy to express my views.

I’ve gotten very paranoid with this release; I just hope this is not the closing chapter for the chems. A digital release of their greatest hits was put on the net just the other day and now the brotherhood. I personally welcome the album and if the tracks are merged it will be a great purchase. But to me it looks like virgin are trying to milk as much as they can get from the chems, which makes me think are the chems gonna retire.

But then I think I’m just stoned and emotional atm, because Tom+ Ed did say in an interview they will carry on producing albums if people keep on listening.

I just feel privileged to be their fan, groups such as leftfield, orbital, underworld, prodigy to some extent have disappeared, whilst the chems are still pioneering.

Sorry to those who think I’ve just waffled and contradicted myself haha

BTW play.com is selling the brotherhood for £12 =D

Good post ayaz, and welcome to the 'Brotherhood'.

Try not to think downhill bro, cause the Bros aint going nowhere! There gonna keep making their music because 'they enjoy it'. I can see the bros taking alot of time off after the tour but nothing's been said so far. But really, do you really think they bought all that studio gear for nothing?

Hey ayaz, it's good to have you on board! I know that publically expressing your views in a niche and rather closeknit community can be daunting, but it's always good to have new names around to share new perspectives. It shows the Chems that people are still listening and still interested if people can be bothered to come by their forum and chit chat.

I like that you say ayaz that it's a privilege to be a fan, and I agree. The music is a constant, it is and always will be there if we let it.

History has shown there's always talk inbetween studio releases that the Chems are about ready to throw in the towel. But it's all just speculation at this point.

I guess we'll know when we know, when the good thing has come to an end. Because all good things come to an end eventually. I don't mean to be flippant... the thought of the Chems calling it a day has crossed my mind more than once or twice. Afterall, if it were to end tomorrow I'd actually have to get out from behind my computer and get an actual fucking life, haha. ha. ha... Anyway. The best we can hope for is that the Brotherhood is a signal of a new musical chapter for the Chems to embark on. At worst, it's a signal to the end of a brilliant and wonderful thing we can carry with us through the rest of our lives. It's really not so bad either way if you think about it.

Cheers for taking on board my message and thanks for the warm welcome. Every time I see them perform a dj set at fabric or turnmills they always have time for their fans, I’ve spoken to them a few times and there never closed in their responses always willing to spear a few moments. Basically they haven’t let the fame get to them unlike Djs such as Tiesto! So I think maybe my last post was a bit rash, as they’ll carry on as long as the glint stays in the eyes of many of us.

Also the chems email says that the album will have a kick and a twist, this got me thinking that there might be a few surprises to come on the album… or have I just misinterpreted the email haha

Nah, I don't think they're going to retire now. They still have the magic. It's crystal clear, for anyone to see in any recent gig, that they are more engaged with being The Chemical Brothers than ever.

This is exciting for me.

Imo, the chems have been on fire the last year or so, at the peak of their powers :)

I have a good feeling they are a LONG way off retiring, on this form anyway.
