Because they have to pay out of their own/the record companies pocket for them. Promos are given away free, not sold
but they do put some electronic battle weapons out for sale in the proper dj record shops, like plastic fantastic, etc

Heheh. He's been living in London since '99 and hasn't been to see the Chems once. He just doesn't get it. I will make him understand though.
Would a Chemical Brothers DJ set at a Fabriclive night guarantee that their set will be released as a future Fabriclive CD?

I was wondering that aswell, would be fantastic! Or even another dj set release at some point would be good. The thing is though, so many great djs play at fabric and don't bring out cds with them so its hard to say.

It's been over 10 years since Live At The Social Vol.1 came out.
Yeah but there has been things in between such as Confront your demons.
The release of EBW8 is quite exciting, Its going to be great hopefully hereing djs play it over the summer. But what reallly excites me is the thought of chemical 6, I wonder how far down the line it is until compleation? Certainally both a worth while wait.
